After Riot Games cancelled Hytale, Simon Collins-Laflamme, the founder of Hypixel Studios, worked with them to buy the game back. The deal closed in November 2025, and Collins-Laflamme announced a quick launch for fans through early access. Hytale officially released as a standalone game on January 13th, quickly earning praise from both players and critics for its gameplay and world design. Now, the game has received a significant update, adding lots of new content, including several interesting creatures.

Studio Pierrot has created some truly amazing and influential anime. Their work is so impressive that they’ve set a high standard for others in the industry, and many newer studios look to Pierrot for inspiration.
