As a dedicated gamer and longtime fan of both Elden Ring and the YouTube community, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions as I reflect on this recent turn of events. Jacksepticeye, one of my favorite content creators, put in an impressive effort to secure that rare Elden Ring poster signed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. He was leading the bids for several days with an offer of $15,000. I admired his determination and was genuinely rooting for him to bring home this prized collectible.

I was bummed out, man. I’d been eyeing that rare Elden Ring poster during the charity auction, and I thought I had it in the bag. But just as the bidding was coming to a close, Ludwig Ahgren, aka Tommonaut, sneaked in with a last-minute bid and snatched it away from me. Oh well, there’s always next time, I guess. The Elden Ring collectible was definitely worth the chase though.

In mid-July 2024, Welsh Twitch streamer Connor “CDawgVA” Marc Colquhoun arranged a benefit sale where people could bid on various items through fundraising platform Tiltify. The earnings from this event were set aside for the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF). Among the 16 auctioned items was an Elden Ring poster of Malenia, autographed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, who is both the game’s director and the president of FromSoftware.

Ludwig Wins Elden Ring Poster Bid While Jacksepticeye Is Sleeping

Irish YouTuber Jacksepticeye initiated bids for the collectible on June 12, starting with an offer exceeding $2,000. Over the ensuing week, several counteroffers ensued, but Jacksepticeye outbid each one. His highest bid of $15,000 for the signed “Elden Ring” poster maintained the top position for two consecutive days. By that time, Ludwig was also vying for the item and eventually emerged as the victor with a winning bid of $21,000 on July 19. On Twitter, Jacksepticeye shared his disappointment over losing the coveted merchandise, attributing it to being asleep at the time.

Initially irritated by the turn of events at the charity auction, the YouTube personality eventually laughed off his loss. He playfully warned Ludwig on Twitter, “Be careful while you’re asleep.” His American counterpart later joked on Twitter about how effortlessly he obtained the valuable collectible: all it took was $21,000 and exploiting an unsuspecting Irishman during the auction.

Ludwig shared a photo of CDawgVA giving him a signed “Elden Ring” poster to celebrate his win, with Pokimane Anis visible in the background, looking at the merchandise from behind the frame. Pokimane also contributed to the cause by auctioning off a gaming session with her for over $30,000 during the charity event.

Ludwig hasn’t disclosed his plans for his recent buy yet. Contemplating this, Jacksepticeye announced that he would give the signed “Elden Ring” poster to CDawgVA for a raffle among his fans. This charitable event amassed a grand total of $168,600, with Pokimane’s gaming session contributing significantly as the highest-valued sale.
