As a longtime Guilty Gear fan with countless hours spent mastering the intricacies of its complex fighting mechanics, I couldn’t contain my excitement when Season Pass 4 was officially announced at EVO 2024. The addition of Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a game-changer for me, as she has always been one of my favorite characters in the Cyberpunk universe.
In 2025, the fourth season pass for Guilty Gear: Strive will introduce its inaugural guest character – Lucy, hailing from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Before the scheduled reveal at EVO 2024, details about Season Pass 4 were accidentally disclosed (thanks to IGN). After this unintended disclosure, Arc System Works confirmed the existence of Season Pass 4 in an official announcement.
A fresh game mode called “Team of Three” is being introduced in Guilty Gear: Strive. In this new mode, a team is composed of three distinct characters controlled by individual players. The open beta for this mode commences on July 25, allowing everyone to test it out soon.
As a longtime fan of the Guilty Gear series, I’m thrilled to hear about the exciting updates coming our way! With new color schemes for our beloved characters and all-new stages, it feels like we’re in for a real treat. Dizzy and Venom making their comeback is a delightful blast from the past for me, as they were two of my favorite characters when I first started playing Guilty Gear X years ago. And the addition of a new character, Unika, from the upcoming anime adaptation Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers, only adds to the anticipation. I can’t wait to see how she fits into the storyline and how she’ll play in the game. This is truly an exciting time for us Guilty Gear fans!
Lastly, Guilty Gear: Strive introduces a new character for the first time through Lucy, who hails from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Given her distance from the rest of the newcomers, her presence in the game was previously unknown to many. Nevertheless, this revelation has sparked great anticipation among Guilty Gear enthusiasts.
As a dedicated fan of Edgerunners, I can’t help but be drawn to Lucy, one of the show’s most captivating characters. Her status as a netrunner adds an intriguing layer to her personality, and I find myself rooting for her in every scene.
Starting July 22, you can look forward to the new content in Season Pass 4 being rolled out for the game. Approximately one year has passed since the debut of Season Pass 3, which occurred in August 2023.
At EVO 2024, the Guilty Gear: Strive competition saw Shamar “Nitro” Hinds emerge victorious after coming back from the loser’s bracket. He defeated the second place finisher, Tatuma, in an intense match.
