This article contains spoilers from the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.
As a huge Boruto fan, it’s been awesome seeing this manga really establish itself as *Boruto’s* story, not just another tale about Naruto. Look, Naruto will *always* be a legend – the hero of his generation, no doubt – but this is Boruto’s chance to shine as the central character. Honestly though, it’s tough seeing Naruto sidelined in the manga right now, especially since he’s been out of action for a while!
Fans are still hoping to see Naruto Uzumaki return to his former glory. Surprisingly, it was Kawaki who sealed him away, intending to protect him. This is a new situation for Naruto, as he’s usually the one saving others. What’s even more concerning is that Naruto isn’t currently getting any stronger, leaving fans worried about how the ninja world will cope without its powerful hero at his peak.
Naruto Uzumaki Is Still Sealed Away in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex
Naruto Uzumaki’s Return Is Still On Hold

- Out of obsession for Naruto’s protection, Kawaki sealed the Seventh Hokage.
- Naruto is still alive but remains sealed with no signs of returning anytime soon.
I’ve noticed a lot of fans are really unhappy with the decision to sideline Naruto in *Boruto: Two Blue Vortex*. It feels like a big loss, considering how important he was and how much of an impact he had. No one else seems to be able to step up and fill that role, and his absence has definitely created a sense of unease in the ninja world. It really highlights just how vital the Seventh Hokage is to everyone in Konoha, his friends, and especially his family.
With Naruto away, the next generation of ninja – like Boruto and Sarada – have become much stronger and are now protecting the village. If Naruto were still here, they might not have had the chance to fully develop their skills. Meanwhile, Naruto would likely still be fighting on the front lines, risking his life against threats like Jura and the Shinju Clones, just as he always has.

Naruto’s sealing, while a sacrifice, has actually allowed Boruto and Sarada to step up and demonstrate their abilities in surprising ways. Plus, it’s kept Naruto safe from those who want to harm him. However, it’s much better to see Naruto actively protecting the village – free from restrictions – rather than watching him unable to help when it’s in danger.
Naruto Uzumaki Is Not Getting Stronger
Naruto Uzumaki Is In Stasis

Many fans are hoping to see Naruto Uzumaki return in *Boruto: Two Blue Vortex* with even greater power, potentially making him the strongest character yet. They’re eager to see the Seventh Hokage fight again and demonstrate why he’s considered the ultimate defender of the ninja world. Some have even speculated about a new ability that could help him defeat the series’ most powerful foes.
Currently, Naruto isn’t improving his abilities. He seems stuck, neither getting stronger nor weaker, almost like he’s been put on pause. This prevents him from training or developing new skills. When he eventually returns, he might be the same person, but he’ll likely be behind everyone else who has continued to grow and improve while he was away.
Don’t accept a fate you dislike. Be brave enough to change it and create the future you desire! -Naruto Uzumaki
Right now, Naruto is in trouble, and a younger ninja like Boruto, Sarada, or Kawaki might be the one to save him. It would be dangerous if Jura gets to Naruto first, because Jura, as the leader of the Shinju, has made it clear he’s targeting Naruto because of his incredibly strong connection to the Tailed Beasts.
Naruto’s Return Is Still Uncertain
The Fate of the Ninja World Relies on Boruto

Since the Boruto manga has moved past Naruto’s story, it’s unlikely he’ll be back in Two Blue Vortex any time soon. The focus is now on Boruto, and bringing Naruto back would likely hinder his son’s growth as a character and his increasing strength.
While fans are eager to see Naruto back in action fighting strong enemies, the *Boruto* manga is currently focused on developing the new generation of characters. Although there’s a chance Naruto could even die, ensuring his impact lives on through Boruto and others, it’s more likely the story will keep him alive – perhaps by temporarily sealing him away – rather than killing him off completely.
