Treasure Hall Mural Puzzle Solution in Silent Hill f

In the game *Silent Hill f*, the “My Room” puzzle within the Shimizu Residence requires players to find and correctly position crests. A later puzzle, found in the Treasure Hall and called the “Mural Puzzle,” works in a similar way: players must obtain three crests and place them in designated empty spaces.

This puzzle unlocks a trophy or achievement. This guide provides a complete walkthrough of the chapter, showing you where to find crests and how to solve the puzzle in *Silent Hill f*.

Here’s the solution to the main puzzle, and we’ll be adding solutions for the other endings soon.

All Crests for Treasure Hall Mural Puzzle in Silent Hill f

Black Sparrow Crest Location for Treasure Hall Puzzle in Silent Hill f

At the beginning of this chapter, head into the room on the left from the Treasure Hall. You’ll see several fox statues, but only one is the right choice. To earn the “Sly Like the Fox” trophy, you need to select all the correct options in the chapter. If you pick the wrong one, simply reload your last save to make sure you still get the trophy.

To avoid losing progress, it’s a good idea to manually save your game at the Hokora after finishing each room. This way, if you make a mistake, you can easily reload from that point.

In the first room with the fox statues, go to the statue in the back left corner and interact with it. You’ll find an arrowhead that you can take – this will give you a Scroll. The fox statue will also show you which door to go through next.

The next room has several enemies, with one behind each door. It’s best to focus on defeating them one at a time to avoid being overwhelmed. After you’ve beaten all the enemies and collected any Faith items or Documents, interact with the box in front of you. This will give you a Black Sparrow Crest. Then, press L2/LT on your controller to open a new path and return to the main Treasure Hall.

White Sparrow Crest Location for Treasure Hall Puzzle in Silent Hill f

To find the second Crest, go through the door beside the Hokora Shrine – it’s directly across from the Mural Puzzle. Inside, you’ll be in an empty room. Use your Vision to make two fox statues appear, one on each side. Then, interact with the statue on the right and take the arrowhead.

Go through the door on the right. Inside, you’ll find a room filled with statues – some are hidden and need to be revealed using your Vision. Once you’ve revealed the big statue in the center, interact with the statue immediately to its left as you entered. Take the arrowhead from it, then go through the door the arrowhead was pointing towards.

You’ll encounter a tough enemy here, especially on harder settings. There are hidden walls you can open to make the battle area bigger, but we advise against it – each one hides another enemy! It’s best to defeat the main enemy first, then deal with the enemies behind the walls one by one. After that, open the box to claim the White Sparrow Crest and return to the Treasure Hall.

Fox Mask Crest Location for Treasure Hall Puzzle in Silent Hill f

Okay, so to get the final crest, you need to go through the right door. This next room is packed with fox statues, and you’ll want to head all the way to the back left corner. There are two statues there, but just focus on the one that’s closest to you. You need to take the arrowhead off of it – that’ll reveal the correct door. Go through the door on the left, and you’ll end up in a big room with a boss right in the middle. This boss is annoying because it keeps spawning these blob-like enemies, and they pop into existence pretty quickly!

It’s a good strategy to take out the enemy that creates more enemies before focusing on the others. The boss will create enemies that can’t see you, and dealing with two of these at once is very challenging, particularly on harder difficulty levels.

If you’re being pursued by two attackers, it’s best to avoid getting caught between them, as one will likely try to grab you eventually. Instead, try to run and lead one of them away, allowing you to deal with them individually.

If you don’t defeat the spawner enemy before handling the blind enemy, the boss might create another spawner. It’s best to eliminate the spawner right away. Also, don’t forget to collect the healing items located around the sides of the room.

Once you’ve defeated the enemy, open the box to trigger a cutscene. If you selected the correct fox statues throughout the game, you’ll receive the Fox Mask Crest and unlock the Sly Like the Fox trophy/achievement.

Mural Puzzle Solution in Silent Hill f (Treasure Hall)

Once you’ve collected all the Crests, return to the Treasure Hall. You’ll find three empty slots where you need to place them. The solution to this puzzle is hidden in your Journal – look for clues there. The Journal mentions a fox leading others, and two birds that are fighting. Use these details to figure out where each crest goes to solve the mural puzzle.

  • Place the Fox Mask Crest in the extreme left spot on the paper fan.
  • The White Sparrow Crest is said to be resisting, so it goes on the right, where the fox is holding a box with both of his hands aimed towards the other fox.
  • The Black Sparrow Crest that is starting the conflict needs to go at the back of the fox that is trying to fight the white bird, which is next to him.
