Death Stranding Is Now A True Delivery Boy Sim Thanks To One Mod

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I have seen my fair share of innovative and bizarre games. But none have left me as utterly confounded and enthralled as Death Stranding did when it dropped on PlayStation 4 in 2019. Hideo Kojima’s latest masterpiece placed players in the boots of Sam Bridges, a delivery specialist navigating a post-apocalyptic landscape teeming with ethereal beings and otherworldly threats.

When Death Stranding came out exclusively on PlayStation 4 in 2019, gamers were left both puzzled and impressed. In this game, players take on the role of Sam Bridges, a deliveryman in an unusual post-apocalyptic setting filled with mysterious, otherworldly creatures. The fact that it’s the creation of Hideo Kojima should be enough to give you an idea of its ambitious and groundbreaking narrative.

Recently, Death Stranding’s release sparked humor with some calling it a “scary walking sim” or a “delivery boy simulation.” However, a new mod that became available on Nexus Mods yesterday enables players to experience Death Stranding in a less threatening way, allowing for package delivery without the constant presence of BTs.

Remove The Threat, Remove The Point

In Death Stranding, the experience is truly unique and strange. As a player, you carry a newborn baby in a special container that alerts you to nearby “Beached Things” (BTs) and other perils, helping you dodge impending disasters. Simultaneously, an inexorable force called “Timefall” relentlessly sweeps across the land, rapidly aging objects and structures, including your own creations and the freight you’re transporting.

Yesterday, a new mod named “Live Stranding” was released on Nexus that I’ve been excited to try out as a fan of the game. In this version, I have the power to alter the game significantly, eliminating almost all traces of Timefall and the BTs that accompany it. This results in an expansive open world with minimal interference from enemy forces or bothersome weather. While it strips away much of what makes the game unique, it’s perfect if you’re in the mood for a more relaxed exploration experience or an immersive delivery simulator.

Unfortunately, installing the new mod from Nexus Mods isn’t a simple process. Before you can even begin with the installation, there are some necessary steps to take first. Keep in mind that being fresh off the bat, the mod may contain bugs.
