In Hades 2, you’ll find many different currencies and stats to improve, but Melinoe’s Grasp is likely the most crucial. Every Arcana card requires a certain amount of Grasp to use – ranging from one to five, based on how powerful the card is. So, increasing your Grasp stat allows you to equip more Arcana cards at the start of each run.
In Hades 2, there’s a limit to how much Grasp you can have, but reaching it requires finding and using Psyche. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t clearly explain how to improve your Grasp. Equip More Arcana By Increasing Grasp at the Altar of Ashes
Okay, so if you’re playing Hades 2 and want to boost your Grasp, you’ve gotta spend Psyche to unlock those higher tiers at the Altar of Ashes. It’s pretty easy to find – it’s right at the entrance to Melinoe’s training grounds in the Crossroads. Basically, that’s where you can customize your Arcana and, most importantly, increase your Grasp. It’s a key part of building your run, so definitely check it out!
Psyche is represented by a green, glowing symbol, and you can find it during runs by selecting rooms that display this symbol. Alternatively, you can obtain Psyche by convincing Shades using Frinos, or by buying it from the Broker. The Broker trades 5 Psyche for 30 Bones.
It’s not obvious how to raise your Grasp level within the Arcana menu. To do so, simply move your mouse cursor over the Grasp icon located in the top-right corner of the screen. You need to have the Grasp icon highlighted in the Arcana menu of Hades 2 to increase it.
Grasp Cost Per Upgrade Tier
When you hover over this icon, you’ll see the price of upgrading your Grasp next. Remember, you can only improve your Grasp one level at a time, and each level costs more Psyche than the last:
