As a long-time Halo fan with countless hours spent exploring the vast universes of this iconic franchise, I am beyond excited for the upcoming Operation: Fleetcom update in Halo Infinite! The teaser of the return of Halo: Reach armor sets, including the coveted Haunted Pilot Helmet, has me reminiscing about the good old days.
As a dedicated gamer of Halo Infinite, I’m thrilled to share that there are rumors about the return of a beloved helmet from Halo: Reach in the upcoming major update. Since its launch at the end of 2021, we have seen the addition of numerous armor sets reminiscent of those featured in earlier games.
Regarded highly by many as one of the finest Halo games produced, Halo: Reach (released in 2010) was the last installment in the iconic franchise created by Bungie. Notably, it showcased enhanced graphics compared to earlier versions, presented a new mechanic called Armor Abilities, and offered more personalization choices for players. Halo: Reach introduced several Spartans and armor sets that have become staples in the Halo series, most notably in Halo Infinite. Marketing materials for Halo Infinite hint at the addition of further content from Halo: Reach, including a renowned helmet attachment, to the game developed by 3D Industries.
An image released alongside a recent announcement regarding Halo Infinite‘s upcoming Operation: Fleetcom update featured what appeared to be the infamous Haunted Helmet from Halo: Reach. The Haunted was an attachment for the Pilot helmet that featured a human skull behind the visor. Players could only obtain the Haunted Helmet for 1 Credit after making it to the game’s highest rank, Inheritor, and purchasing every other helmet and attachment in the title. In Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the Haunted attachment was a reward for reaching Tier 100 in the compilation’s first season.
Possible New Armor in Halo Infinite Operation: Fleetcom
- Haunted Pilot Helmet (Halo: Reach)
- Operator Armor (Halo: Reach)
- Security Armor (Halo: Reach)
As a dedicated Halo fan who has spent countless hours exploring the vast and intricately woven lore of this iconic franchise, I cannot help but be both excited and intrigued by the recent Operation: Fleetcom announcement. The accompanying image, featuring Spartans clad in what seems to be Operator and Security armor from Halo Reach, stirs up a wave of nostalgia and anticipation within me.
I’m thrilled that Operation: Fleetcom is coming our way on July 30! This update brings back two beloved game modes from my favorite Halo games – VIP from Halo 3 and Headhunter from Halo: Reach. Plus, Forge in Halo Infinite is about to get even better with several quality-of-life improvements. And here’s the cherry on top: over a thousand voice lines from the legendary multiplayer announcer, Jeff Steitzer, will be added to the in-game editor! What a treat for us fans!
Halo Infinite changed from long Season modes to shorter Operations starting in early 2024. In contrast to the previous Seasons which could last up to six months, these new Operations typically run for only four to six weeks. Additionally, each Operation comes with a free 20-tier battle pass.
