All Imaginary Friends in The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits

The Adventure Awaits expansion for The Sims 4 really focuses on making childhoods meaningful. Experiences Sims have as children will significantly shape their personalities and futures. Things like discovering a hobby or having an imaginary friend can have a lasting impact on the Sims as they grow up and try new things.

This guide explains the four imaginary friends available in *The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits* expansion pack. It details what makes each one unique, helping players choose the best companion for their Sims.

All Imaginary Friends in The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits

The Sims 4 features four ImagineMe! dolls, all of which can become imaginary friends. Before a doll comes to life, you can customize its personality using the pie menu. This determines how it will behave as an imaginary friend. Each doll starts with a unique trait and personality, so they’ll all be a little different!

This guide details the personalities of each imaginary friend in *The Sims 4*. We’ll focus on their default traits, but if you’ve changed a friend’s personality, please jump to the section for that specific character. We’ve included pictures of each imaginary friend, as well as what they look like as both a doll and a regular Sim.

Lil’ Monster

Goofball Imaginary Friend

Okay, so in my latest playthrough, I unlocked Lil’ Monster, this super goofy imaginary friend for my Sim’s kid. Basically, Lil’ Monster encourages the little Sim to be active and just generally be happier. It’s pretty cool! And if you actually complete the ‘Have a Best Friend Imaginary Friend’ challenge, it turns out that Sim will be way better at pulling off pranks when they grow up – seriously, it’s a hidden bonus!

Once a Lil’ Monster grows up, they’ll automatically gain the Goofball trait, a random additional trait, and the Gregarious trait because of their Joke Star aspiration.

Currently, there’s an issue with Lil’ Monster. When you bring them to life, they won’t get the Goofball trait as intended. Instead, they’ll only receive Gregarious and one other random trait.

Wild Child

Competitive Imaginary Friend

Wild Child is an imaginary friend who pushes children to excel. He sets ambitious goals, wanting them to be the very best, but can be overly competitive. Sims who become best friends with Wild Child through the social challenge will feel more energized.

Okay, so when my Wild Child Sim ages up into a young adult, they’re automatically going to be competitive. They’ll also get a random trait, and because of the Critter Hunter aspiration I’ve chosen for them, they’ll also snag the Collector trait. It’s like a little bonus package for focusing on bugs and frogs!

Krafty Kid

Creative Imaginary Friend

Krafty Kid is a playful imaginary friend who loves all things creative. She’ll inspire your Sim child to learn new artistic skills. If your Sim dreams of a future in the arts, completing the ‘Have a Best Friend Imaginary Friend’ challenge is a great idea – it will help them master creative skills more quickly as they grow into a teen and adult.

Krafty Kid will pursue the Best Selling Author life goal, giving her the Muser trait. She also has the Creative trait, plus one other randomly selected trait.

Pretty Pegacorn

Evil Imaginary Friend

The ‘Evil’ personality option, usually appearing as Pretty Pegacorn, is the most complex and unpredictable. This imaginary friend encourages children to be mean, even suggesting they practice those behaviors on her to strengthen their ‘mean spirit.’ Essentially, she’s a negative influence who promotes rudeness and a lack of caring.

If Sims follow Pretty Pegacorn’s guidance, they can learn how to start fires. This allows them to ignite most furniture and objects in the game. Learning this skill also gives them the temporary “Budding Evil” trait. If they continue down this path, they can develop the permanent Evil trait when they become Young Adults.

On top of everything else, completing the Pretty Pegacorn’s Have a Best Friend Imaginary Friend Social Challenge will make it easier for your Sims to succeed with Mean interactions as adults.

If Pretty Pegacorn were to become a human, she would automatically have the ‘Evil’ and ‘Dastardly’ traits, plus one additional trait chosen at random, because of her mischievous personality.
