As a dedicated Mortal Kombat 1 player, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the new challenges that Season 7 of Invasions Mode has brought. The prospect of discovering hidden areas behind green locked gates in various Mesas was an exciting addition to the game. However, the requirement of obtaining a Soul of a Sorcerer to open these gates left me scratching my head.
During Season 7 of Invasions Mode in Mortal Kombat 1, players can discover hidden areas by locating green locked gates in all the Mesas they explore. These areas conceal treasures in the form of chests, along with challenging battles featuring high-level enemies.
In Mortal Kombat 1, unfortunately, the only way for players to unlock the gates is by obtaining an elusive item called the Sorcerer’s Soul. The game makes this clear from the beginning, but it doesn’t provide much help in locating this hard-to-find artifact.
How to Get the Soul of a Sorcerer in Mortal Kombat 1
In Season 7, defeating the final boss in Invasions Mode, named Deadly Sorcerer, rewards players with the Soul of a Sorcerer. This formidable foe is modeled after Shang Tsung and can be encountered in the Living Forest. To triumph over Deadly Sorcerer, it’s advisable to employ Sub-Zero in battle due to his affinity with the elements, granting him an edge in dealing damage and taking less harm. However, this encounter presents a challenge even with type advantage. Deadly Sorcerer employs a soul-stealing attack between phases, which can be countered by blocking low on the opposite side of the screen from the vortex or using a Translucency Field Konsumable before engaging in combat to render oneself immune to projectiles.
In Shang Tsung’s Lab, players might stumble upon a chest hiding a Translucency Field. Another option is to acquire this item from the Gateway Portal store, but keep in mind that it may take some time for the stock to refresh before it becomes available.
