The First Descendant’s New Major Content Update is Releasing Early

As a passionate fan of The First Descendant, I’m thrilled to hear that the highly-anticipated Week 5 Update is coming earlier than expected! Although it may not be a significant change in terms of timing, this move shows Nexon’s dedication to keeping their community engaged and delivering new content as soon as possible.

Nexon revealed on their latest blog update on X that the highly anticipated Week 5 Update for The First Descendant is now scheduled to drop earlier than expected on July 31, 2024.

Nexon had initially intended to roll out the update on August 2, 2024. Though it’s not coming significantly sooner than before, this decision remains unusual.

Additionally, Nexon unveiled a sneak peek of the Ult Valby’s new appearance. However, the video showcased only cinematic footage without any fresh gameplay elements. The Ult Valby cosmetic has a more seductive style compared to previous designs, as hinted in the short teaser we saw today.

Exciting Announcement: The Albion Week 5 Update will arrive a day sooner than anticipated, on July 30th. Get set to explore the tranquil waters with Ult Valby! 🐚💦🌈

In the Week 5 update, we’ll see the arrival of fresh Descendants, equipment upgrades, balance adjustments, and other exciting features. Nexon has given us a sneak peek of Luna, a new buff-supporting Descendant who utilizes music for her unique abilities, through X.

Yesterday, Nexon provided a detailed look into the upcoming Week 5 features. Among them are a Peace Mediator weapon, an Arche Concretion module, a new type of Devourer enemy called “mutated Gluttony,” and additional elements.

Recently, The First Descendant drew criticism from fans due to resemblances to Destiny 2’s visuals. In response, the development team quickly addressed these concerns, promising adjustments to distinguish their content.

Nexon revealed that over 10 million people played their new third-person loot shooter game within a week on all available platforms.

Weeks ago, The First Descendant made its debut and can be accessed right now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
