A new version of the popular VR music game, Synth Riders: Overdrive, is coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
The music action genre doesn’t get as much attention as it deserves. While games like Rhythm Heaven, Hi-Fi Rush, and the upcoming Unbeatable offer exciting, rhythm-based gameplay, the genre remains relatively unexplored. Virtual reality has been a bright spot, especially with the popularity of Beat Saber. Synth Riders, a standout VR title from 2019 that launched on platforms like Oculus Rift and PSVR, combined striking cyberpunk visuals with popular music. Having won over both players and critics, the acclaimed game is now making its way to the Nintendo Switch.
Synth Riders: Overdrive Brings The Beats To Nintendo Switch
Kluge Interactive just announced that Synth Riders: Overdrive, the latest installment in the popular series, will be released on the Nintendo Switch. This version has been completely rebuilt and offers a fresh experience for both new and existing players, including multiplayer and a story mode. Players can choose from three difficulty levels and enjoy a wide range of popular songs by artists such as Charli XCX, Jack Harlow, and Starcadian. According to Arturo Perez, founder and CEO of Kluge Interactive,

The Switch is ideal for this because you can play it anywhere and easily enjoy the fast-paced, energetic gameplay with friends and family.”
