Okay, so Ninja Gaiden 4 is almost here! I just saw that preloads are live, meaning we can download the game before it officially launches. They also revealed the file size, which is good to know so I can make sure I have enough space. I’m getting hyped!
If you’ve already pre-ordered the game, you’re almost set! To ensure you can play right when it launches, it’s best to download it now.
Here is a preload guide for Ninja Gaiden 4 and the pre-launch file size on each platform.
When Can You Preload Ninja Gaiden 4?
You can now download Ninja Gaiden 4 on PC through the Windows Store and on Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation 5 and Steam users will be able to download the game soon, but it’s not available for them just yet.
We don’t have an exact date yet for when you’ll be able to preload Ninja Gaiden 4 on Steam and PlayStation. However, with the game releasing on October 21st, we expect the preload to become available very soon.
Ninja Gaiden 4 File Size Explained
Before its release, Ninja Gaiden 4 requires 54.9 GB of storage space on PC when downloaded through the Windows Store. On Xbox Series X, the game takes up 36.82 GB, and on PlayStation 5, it’s 23.55 GB. Players on Steam will likely need a similar amount of space as those using the Windows Store.
It’s typical for the PC version of a game to be larger in file size, as it needs to support a wider range of computer hardware, including more powerful systems than those found in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. However, the fact that the PlayStation 5 version is less than half the size of the PC version really highlights how well the game was compressed for that platform.
These file sizes are current as of before the game’s release. A launch-day patch or update could significantly increase them, so they may change.
How to Preload Ninja Gaiden 4
If you want to start downloading Ninja Gaiden 4 before it officially launches, you’ll need to pre-order the digital version from a participating platform. Those who prefer a physical copy will need to wait until the game is released and they have the disc.
Okay, so if I pre-order the game now, it *should* let me start downloading it right away at checkout. If I’ve already pre-ordered, I just need to check my games library – the download option should be there. And if I’m an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member, I can head to the Game Pass app and search for the game to find the ‘pre-install’ button. Easy peasy!
