When you begin playing Megabonk, you only have space for two items: a weapon and a tome. Each character starts with one specific weapon that can’t be swapped, so you’ll only be able to choose one additional weapon during your initial playthroughs. You have full freedom when selecting tomes, and can choose any two you want, no matter which character you’re playing.
In *Megabonk*, you’ll naturally want to equip more weapons and tomes as you unlock them. Luckily, the game lets you increase the number of slots available for both. This guide will walk you through how to do it.
How to Unlock More Weapon and Tome Slots in Megabonk
In *Megabonk*, unlocking more weapon and book slots is key to building a stronger character and experimenting with different playstyles. Players can get these extra slots simply by completing quests – there’s no specific questline required, just a certain number of quests to finish.

After finishing 25 quests, you’ll be able to purchase Weapon Slots in the Shop. Completing 35 quests unlocks the Tome Slots upgrade in the Shop too.
Okay, so if you want to get all the upgrades in *Megabonk*, you’re gonna need to buy them! That means on top of doing all the quests, you’ll be spending a lot of time earning Silver to unlock those extra slots. Luckily, there are ways to boost your Silver income – you can do challenges and quests, but the best thing is to find and upgrade the Silver Tome. It really helps you farm more Silver!
Megabonk features 237 quests, all of which players can find in the game’s main menu under the ‘Quests’ tab. The quests you’re closest to finishing will be displayed in the top left corner of the main menu screen. It’s a good idea to review your quest list before each playthrough and then focus on completing as many as possible during that run.
