It’s important they have enough time to avoid excessive overtime, as the anime industry is known for its long hours and difficult working conditions. Even though a fifth season of Demon Slayer isn’t likely coming out soon, it’s almost certain ufotable will eventually create it after finishing the current movie trilogy. They followed a similar pattern with the Mugen Train arc – releasing it as a standard anime season despite the film’s huge success. Considering this, it’s safe to say a fifth season is still a real possibility down the line.

If the final movie comes out in 2029, fans can probably expect the fifth season to be released around 2030. The studio will likely wait until the movie is available worldwide before announcing a release date for the new season.
