As a seasoned Pokemon GO player with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that catching a shundo Lucario during the Mega Lucario Raid Day event was nothing short of extraordinary. The rarity of this variant, combined with the fact that nundos aren’t possible for Lucario, makes it an even more remarkable achievement.
A player of Pokémon GO managed to capture a perfect (shundo) Lucario during the Mega Lucario Raid Event, which is exceptionally rare because shundos aren’t applicable for this specific Pokémon type. Despite some dissatisfaction among Pokémon enthusiasts regarding the shiny rates during the Mega Lucario Raid Day in Pokémon GO, it appears that this player has struck an incredible fortune by obtaining the most desirable combination.
As August approaches, there are a host of thrilling events coming up for fans of the game, Pokemon GO. Whether it’s Adventure Week or the recurrence of Team GO Rocket Takeover within Pokemon GO, players can expect numerous opportunities to capture new Pokemon and earn rewards. Additionally, it appears that one player has managed to catch a very uncommon Pokemon.
On the Pokemon GO subreddit, user Sky_Rider01 showcased one of their impressive catches – a hard-to-get shundo (perfectly shiny) Lucario, captured during the Mega Lucario Raid Day. Despite the event increasing the chances of finding a shiny Lucario, many players were frustrated as they failed to encounter a shiny Pokemon despite participating in multiple raids. However, some fortunate players managed to obtain the rare shiny variant, only to discover that their Lucarios had poor stats (IV values), making them less effective in battles. Given that both raids and eggs have minimum IVs, Riolu or Lucario can’t be found in the wild, making this particular variant of Lucario one of the rarest in Pokemon GO.
Why Are Shundos So Rare In Pokemon GO?
Players of Pokemon GO constantly search for Shundo Pokemon within the game. The term “Shundo” was created by the community to describe Pokemon with perfect Individual Values (IV) statistics, which means they have a score of 15 out of 15 in all three categories: Stamina, Attack, and Defense. These rare creatures are particularly strong for battles. If a Shundo Pokemon is also shiny, it’s called a “Shiny Shundo.” A Shundo doesn’t provide any additional benefits compared to a regular Hundo, but its rarity and the pride that comes with owning one make it highly sought after.
During Mega Lucario Raid Day, some fans expressed displeasure over shiny rates. However, they received generous rewards for their participation. For the first time in Pokemon GO history, Niantic granted players the opportunity to obtain guaranteed Rare Candy XL from raids. This feature was met with great enthusiasm and is now desired as a long-term addition. Although not all fans managed to catch a perfect shiny Lucario, they were more than satisfied with the acquired Rare Candy XL.
