The final season of *My Hero Academia*, Season 8, has begun, and the series’ conclusion—in both the manga and anime—is drawing near. While fans are understandably sad to see it end, all good stories eventually come to a close, and *My Hero Academia* is no exception. Although Kohei Horikoshi, the author, isn’t planning a direct sequel anytime soon, he does have some recommendations for fans to enjoy after the series ends.
I’m so excited! Kohei Horikoshi, the creator of My Hero Academia, has officially chosen Kagurabachi as his next big pick! It’s already a huge hit in Weekly Shonen Jump, and it’s amazing to see the connection between the two series. Did you know they even did a collaboration recently? And get this – Horikoshi-sensei actually helped with the storyboard for Kagurabachi’s first chapter! Fans were totally blown away when they found out!

With the conclusion of popular series like My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen last year, fans were left wanting more. The end of these two major hits from Jump magazine was a significant loss. Fortunately, a new series, Kagurabachi, has emerged as a promising replacement, and even the creator of My Hero Academia, Horikoshi, seems to think so.
Kagurabachi launched around a year before My Hero Academia concluded, and it quickly gained a large fanbase. While the beginning was a little slow, the series improved week after week, and the author showed significant growth as well. It’s possible that Kagurabachi is Weekly Shonen Jump’s biggest new manga success story.
It’s surprising to learn that there’s a connection between *Kagurabachi* and *My Hero Academia*. Kohei Horikoshi, the creator of *My Hero Academia*, actually reviewed the storyboard for the very first chapter of *Kagurabachi*.

Recently, *My Hero Academia* and *Kagurabachi* had a special crossover! Kohei Horikoshi, the creator of *My Hero Academia*, created artwork for *Kagurabachi*, and in return, Takeru Hokazono, the creator of *Kagurabachi*, drew art for *My Hero Academia*. Both artists illustrated each other’s main characters, Deku and Chihiro. You can find the artwork here:

Kagurabachi Is Definitely Set Up To Be A Big Hit

Kagurabachi is generating a lot of excitement, and many fans think it has the potential to become the next big hit after *My Hero Academia*. Although the two shows are quite different, Kagurabachi is clearly being positioned for major success by Shonen Jump. With an anime adaptation on the way, its popularity is expected to surge, and it could eventually reach the same level of fame as MHA.

The *My Hero Academia* manga has finished its run, with a total of 431 chapters available to read on Manga Plus. While the manga is complete, the anime is still ongoing and its final season is expected to premiere later this year on Crunchyroll.
