
The screenwriter has confirmed that Warner Bros. and New Line are moving forward with a new Mortal Kombat 3 movie, officially titled III.
The Mortal Kombat movies are relatively recent, beginning with the first film in 2021. While the second movie, Mortal Kombat II, is still being finished and won’t be released until next year, the positive reaction to its exciting trailer has already led to plans for a third film, even before the sequel comes out.

At New York Comic-Con, Jeremy Slater, who wrote the screenplay for the upcoming *Mortal Kombat II* movie, revealed that *Mortal Kombat 3* is now being developed. According to Deadline, New Line and Warner Bros. will once again produce and distribute the film. Since *Mortal Kombat II* hasn’t been released yet, details about the story or who will star in *Mortal Kombat 3* are still unknown. The film is currently being written, and no release date has been announced.
