As a seasoned Elden Ring player, I can’t help but be excited about the new Ruined Forges added in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. These unique locations are a must-visit for any smithing enthusiast like myself, offering a chance to obtain valuable Smithing Stones and upgrades for our weapons.

As an avid fan, I’m thrilled about the introduction of the Ruined Forges in the upcoming Elden Ring DLC! Just as the name implies, these are forging sites with a unique exterior design. Within their boundaries, you’ll either encounter Misbegotten creatures or Bloodfiends. If you’re on the hunt for additional Smithing Stones, these places are absolute goldmines. Almost every Forge houses at least one Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone, making them great spots to explore!

As a seasoned adventurer who has traversed countless lands and battled fearsome foes, I must say that the guide to the Ruined Forges in Shadow of the Erdtree is a treasure trove of information for any brave soul seeking to explore this mysterious realm. Not only does it provide detailed directions on how to find these ancient forges hidden deep within the shadowy recesses of the world, but it also highlights the valuable loot that awaits those daring enough to venture there. For those who seek power and riches in their journey, this guide is an essential companion on your quest.

For those focused on the game’s narrative, it may be best to bypass these areas during an initial playthrough and revisit them following the defeat of the last boss.

How To Get To Ruined Forge Lava Intake

Gather your Torrent steed from the peaceful sanctuary at Castle Front. Then, head south beyond the barrier, where you’ll likely encounter some Mage Soldiers keeping watch in the surrounding area.

You can deal with them to see if they drop their

or weapons.

Following that, make your way south; you’ll encounter Bloodfiends clashing with Messmer Soldiers. Continue beyond them, and shortly after, you’ll come across the Ruin Forge Lava Intake entrance.

From the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, travel northeast along the road until a path appears on your right. Follow this path and head southward, passing the Messmer Soldier camp. You’ll come across a small pond with a giant crayfish on its right bank, but you should continue riding beyond it.

Continuing your journey towards the south, you’ll eventually reach the entrance to the once-mighty Starfall Past’s Shattered Blacksmith. Within this forge, an assortment of weapons and a Smithing Charm await your discovery.

Enter the cave and follow the path until you stumble upon an area swarming with Gravebirds. Continue your ride westward until you arrive at the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, where another Site of Grace awaits you up ahead.

Heading north-east from Grace, you’ll encounter barricades and a large number of Messmer Soldiers and hostile creatures. Shortly after, you’ll reach the entrance to Taylew’s Ruined Forge.
