In Battlefield 6, the Assault class has been updated to emphasize teamwork. While still leading the charge, it now offers players more options for breaking through enemy lines and defenses.
Historically, the Assault class in *Battlefield* focused solely on eliminating enemies. However, in *Battlefield 6*, Assault players now have more options and can adapt to different situations. This guide will explore three unique loadouts for the Assault class, each suited to a different way of playing.
The CQB Breacher
Best Close Range Assault Loadout in BF6
| Primary Weapon | M433 |
| Secondary Weapon (Sling) | M87A1 Shotgun |
| Gadget | Breaching Projectile Launcher |
| Grenade | Stun Grenade |
| Melee Weapon | Sledgehammer |
| Field Spec | Breacher |
This setup is designed to excel in close-range combat. The M433 is a top-tier weapon for the Assault class at short distances, and it’s immediately available to all players. Combining it with the M87A1 shotgun will make you incredibly powerful up close, as long as you can aim accurately.
Okay, so the Breaching Projectile Launcher is basically a flashbang you can *shoot* through walls – super useful! I like to fire one of those before I clear a room or go through a doorway. If enemies are still giving me trouble, I’ll follow up with a regular Stun Grenade to really mess with their heads. And if a doorway is totally blocked, I just bust it down with my Sledgehammer. It’s all about controlling the space before I go in.
The main weakness of this setup is that it only works well on smaller Battlefield 6 maps, such as Empire State and Saint’s Quarter. However, it should be effective in any game mode played in close-quarters environments.
The Grenadier
Best Assault Grenadier Build in Battlefield 6
| Weapon | Any rifle, carbine, or SMG of choice |
| Gadget 1 | Assault Ladder |
| Gadget 2 | M320A1 HE Launcher |
| Grenade | Frag Grenade |
| Field Spec | Breacher |
This update focuses on demolition rather than simply moving through areas. The M320A1 HE Launcher can blast through walls and cover, and it’s also very effective against enemies. Use the Assault Ladder to get a surprising angle on your opponents, then overwhelm them with grenades from an unexpected position.
In *Battlefield 6*, you’re free to choose any weapon. However, if you prefer a grenadier-style of play – staying back and taking out enemies from a distance – we suggest using mid-range weapons such as the SOR-556 assault rifle or the M277 carbine.
If you’re looking to really punish the opposing team, you can swap out the Assault Ladder for the Thermobaric Grenade Launcher later on.
The Infiltrator
Best Frontline Assault Build in Battlefield 6
| Weapon | Any close-medium range weapon |
| Gadget 1 | Deploy Beacon |
| Gadget 2 | Assault Ladder |
| Grenade | Frag Grenade |
| Field Spec | Frontliner |
This setup is designed for taking and holding objectives in *Battlefield 6*. The Frontliner Field Spec gives your whole squad the benefit of the Adrenaline Injector, and also naturally boosts health recovery for everyone, making it easier to survive fights.
The key to this setup is the Deploy Beacon, unlocked at Rank 23 by finishing the Assault 1 challenge. It lets you and your teammates respawn at a set location, letting you constantly push for objectives. To get the most out of it, always conceal your Deploy Beacons – we suggest bringing an Assault Ladder to reach hidden spots the enemy will struggle to find.
