As a veteran World of Warcraft player with over a decade under my belt, I must say, the return of the Warband Bank has brought a new lease of life to my gaming experience! After experiencing the frustration of its initial malfunction, it was a relief to see Blizzard fix the issue and restore this fantastic feature.

The long-awaited ‘Warband Bank’ in World of Warcraft has been successfully implemented a week following its promised addition during the ‘War Within’ Pre-Expansion Update. After addressing a major problem with this new feature, players can now effortlessly move and store items across all their characters within the game.

In the thrilling world of “World of Warcraft: The War Within,” I’ve been excitedly embracing the fresh wave of fan-friendly updates known as Warbands. This term encompasses a variety of alt-friendly features, including account-wide reputation and achievement progress, enhancements to the transmog collection process, and the Warband Bank – a shared storage area that can be accessed by any character on my account. However, it’s been disappointing that a significant problem has hindered the Warband Bank from functioning properly since the Pre-Patch on July 23. Consequently, Blizzard had to temporarily disable this feature for some time in “World of Warcraft.”

A week on, it appears that World of Warcraft has successfully addressed the issues concerning the Warband Bank. Following the weekly maintenance and reset on July 30th, the Warband Bank has been re-established, allowing players to utilize common storage areas across their characters. Here’s hoping that these problems with the Warband Bank have been definitively resolved, ensuring fans won’t need to fret over losing their stored items in the future.

World of Warcraft Warband Bank Features

  • Shared storage between every World of Warcraft character on an account.
  • Five 98-slot tabs that can be purchased at an increasing gold cost.
  • Remote access to the Warband Bank via the Warband Bank Distance Inhibitor spell, which summons a portal for 10 minutes on a two-hour cooldown.

Players have the option to interact with the Warband Bank from any banker character they encounter across the game world by selecting a new tab within their interface. Another choice is to cast the Warband Bank Distance Inhibitor spell, which creates an access portal for ten minutes every two hours. Please note that this feature in World of Warcraft isn’t available immediately; players must complete a brief quest series in Gadgetzan to master it first.

Each of the five 98-slot tabs of the Warband Bank in World of Warcraft must be purchased individually, with each one costing more than the last. The first tab only costs 1000 gold, but buying all five will run players more than 3,000,000 gold in total. Luckily, this one-time purchase unlocks the tabs for their entire account.

World of Warcraft: The War Within Warband Bank Tab Unlock Costs

Tab Gold Cost
1 1,000
2 25,000
3 100,000
4 500,000
5 2,500,000
Total 3,126,000

Despite the transformative impact of Warbands on gameplay, there are persisting issues with graphics, gameplay, and user interface stemming from the pre-release patch for World of Warcraft: The War Within. Fingers crossed that these problems get addressed swiftly within World of Warcraft as well.
