Mafia: Definitive Edition Comes To Xbox Game Pass August 13th

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the announcement of Mafia: Definitive Edition‘s release on August 13 for Xbox and PC via Game Pass has sent a wave of excitement through the gaming community. Having played the original in 2002 and fondly remembering the intrigue and immersion it provided, I can’t help but feel a twinge of nostalgia mixed with anticipation for this remake.

2K Studios has revealed that the remastered version of Mafia, titled Mafia: Definitive Edition, is set to launch on August 13. It will be accessible on both Xbox and PC platforms through Game Pass.

The announcement confirms prior reports of the game’s pending release.

“Completely overhauled, in the harsh landscape of criminal organizations, climb up the ladder in Mafia: Definitive Edition, set to launch for Xbox and PC via Xbox Game Pass on August 13, as announced by 2K on their social media.”

Originally launched in 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Mafia: Definitive Edition is essentially a revamped version of the 2002 classic game. The game transports you to the fictitious city of Los Heaven, Illinois during the 1930s. In addition to an enriched narrative, the definitive edition boasts a Free Ride mode that lets players leisurely explore the city without being tied to mandatory missions.
