Side quests in *Digimon Story: Time Stranger* are really rewarding. They encourage you to explore the game world and take a break from the main story. These quests usually combine heartfelt stories with valuable items, like rare upgrades and powerful healing supplies.
Side quests often begin with simple tasks, such as locating an item or speaking with another Digimon. However, these requests frequently evolve into more meaningful endeavors, like helping a Digimon find a place to belong or unraveling a mystery with subtle clues. Interestingly, some of the most fulfilling quests in Digimon Story Time Stranger are surprisingly quick and easy to finish.

Finding Clean Seawater In The Abyss To Help MarineAngemon
This optional quest starts during the âThrone of the Underworldâ chapter when MarineAngemon asks for your assistance. It initially seems straightforward, but the game adds a challenge: not all water found in the Abyss is pure enough. After accepting the quest at the Warriorâs Watering Hole, youâll need to go to the Abyss Surface. Youâll find many glowing spots that appear to be what you need, but most of them contain âfunky seawaterâ that wonât satisfy MarineAngemonâs request.
To save time, head directly to the northwest part of the lower level. Look for a slight dip in the ground, which is marked by an arrow on your mini-map. This is the only spot where you can find pure seawater. The game will let you know when you’ve collected the right item. You’ll receive a good reward: 10,000 Yen, 70 Anomaly Points, one SP Augment Chip III, and three Courage Point II items. The SP Augment Chip III is great for improving stats that use SP, and the Courage Point IIs will help you progress in Bonds.
Listen to the Voice
Rescue JumboGamemon

The quest âListen to the Voiceâ becomes available during the âToo Lateâ story arc, but you must first complete âThe Color the Water Speaks Of.â Youâll be helping JumboGamemon escape from a dungeon. Once you accept the quest, locate the Pegasusmon near the cells â it can quickly transport you to the Throne Room. There, youâll find Neptunemon, who knows about JumboGamemonâs predicament and offers to help.
With assistance from Neptunemon, players return to JumboGamemonâs location and free him. Completing the rescue rewards players with 9,000 Yen, 75 Anomaly Points, one Nanomachine Break III, and two Courage Point II items.
Message From Beyond Time
Defeat Groundramon And WarGrowlmon For Big Drimogemon

Okay, so after you finish “The Mighty Bearmon Brothers,” you get this new quest! Big Drimogemon gives it to you during the “Destruction of All Order” part of the story. Basically, he needs help with a problem involving a family member and two really tough Digimon. The first thing we have to do is head to the Floating Rock Islands and take down Groundramon. Sounds intense!
Okay, so after I finally beat Groundramon, Big Drimogemon sent me packing to Shade Tree Pier in Gear Forest to take on WarGrowlmon. That fight was tough, but I pulled through! Then, I had to head back to Little Drimogemon in the Shaded Woods to wrap up the whole mission. It was totally worth it â I got a bunch of Multi-Recovery DX items, a Courage Point IV, some Anomaly Points, and around 8,000 yen! A really good haul, honestly.
The Mighty Bearmon Brothers
Help The Bearmon Brothers To Beat Minotarumon And Greymon

âThe Mighty Bearmon Brothersâ starts in Gear Forest, near Locomon Station. Youâll meet the Bearmon brothers who are struggling with nearby enemies and want to demonstrate their power. The mission is a quick and enjoyable mix of short battles and simple exploration. Your first task is to defeat Minotarumon. Heâs a strong opponent, but heâs especially vulnerable to Fire and Electric attacks, so Digimon with those abilities will make the fight much easier.
Following their win, the brothers head to the northeast part of the Shaded Woods, where theyâll face Greymon. Greymon is heavily armored, so using abilities that boost attack powerâlike Attack Field or supportive movesâwill speed up the fight. Winning this battle earns you 4,500 Yen, 65 Anomaly Points, 1 EVA Attachment I, 2 Friendship DX items, and 1 Heroic Statue.
Divermonâs Woes
Investigate Abyss Depths To Defeat Crabmon

This quest becomes available during the “World Treeâs Cry” story arc. It starts in Abyss Depths where youâll meet Divermon, who is worried about a disturbance under the water. He asks you to find out whatâs causing it and take care of the problem. After talking to Divermon, youâll head to find Submarimon, who will lead you to the source of the trouble: a chaotic Crabmon. The battle with Crabmon starts right away.
Okay, so I just fought Crabmon, and it’s a Data-type Digimon, which means it’s really weak to Plant and Electric attacks. I found it way easier bringing along Virus Digimon like Kuwagamon, Woodmon, or even Tentomon to exploit that weakness. The battle itself wasn’t *super* hard, but it can take a while if you don’t focus on hitting its weak spot. Once I beat Crabmon, I headed back to Divermon and finished the quest. The rewards were pretty good â 4,000 Yen, 55 Anomaly Points, a Multi Wall which is a consumable that can block a bunch of attacks, and two Courage Point II items. Definitely worth it!
Impatience and Determination
Recover The Stolen Heater

The “Impatience and Determination” quest becomes available immediately after you complete “I Want to Go Someplace Legendary.” This quest is a straightforward detective mission where you’ll investigate stolen items â specifically, a heater taken by some Goblimon in Central Town. To begin, head to Central Town and locate the ladder leading to the upper platform. Then, go inside the blue house and search the boxes next to the bed to find out which Goblimon is the thief.
You’ll find the thief in Central Town, near the Card Shop in the Downtown area. The battle involves exactly three Goblimon, so don’t talk to any others to avoid extra fights. Once you get the heater back, return it to Lunamon to finish the quest. You’ll receive 4,000 Yen, 55 Anomaly Points, 1 Sleep Attack item, 3 Sleep Recovery items, and 3 Courage Point I items as a reward. The Sleep Attack item lets you put enemies to sleep, while Sleep Recovery helps you wake up from the sleep status. This quest is a good way to earn resources and practice using status effects in battle.
Secret Of The Hidden Honey Base
Clear Beehives And Face FunBeemon

Your mission is to eliminate beehives located in specific areas. Use your Digimon’s attacks to destroy the hive groups. Be aware that some hives will release FunBeemon or Waspmon, so try to avoid unnecessary battles, or make sure your Digimon are prepared to fight. FunBeemon is vulnerable to Fire attacks, and Waspmon is weak against Electricity.
Okay, so I just finished taking out that whole hive, and now I’m heading back to Muchomon! The reward is awesome â 3,500 Yen, 50 Anomaly Points, and a Chip that boosts my intelligence or magic stats â it’s called an INT Augment Chip I. Plus, I even get a Courage Point III! Honestly, this side quest was surprisingly easy. You can sneak past a lot of enemies and just focus on the main targets in the hive, which makes it super efficient and really worth doing.
The Color The Water Speaks Of
Find A Purple Aquatic Plant

To complete this task, you need to search Shellmon’s house for a clue. Look next to the bed for Shellmon’s diary â it will tell you about a purple plant that grows in the water. Find the sparkling area just west of the center of the map, and collect the plant from there. Finally, bring both the diary and the plant back to Kamemon.
Okay, so when you finish a job, you get a really nice reward! It’s 3,500 Yen, plus 40 Anomaly Points, which are great. But the best part? You also get a Speed Boost Chip I â perfect if you’re building a fast character like I am â and an SP Spray II, which is a lifesaver for keeping your energy up while exploring dungeons. They even throw in two Courage Point II items, which is awesome! Itâs a really solid package of goodies.
