As a devoted gaming enthusiast, I’m regretfully announcing that come July 31st, three highly-acclaimed titles, including “A Short Hike”, will be leaving my Xbox Game Pass library. This brings the total number of games departing in July 2024 to a rather significant nine.
On July 15, Microsoft’s subscription library underwent a reduction, with Xbox Game Pass parting ways with five games, namely “The Wandering Village” and “Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion”. Earlier, on July 5, “Cricket 22” was removed from the service.
As a gamer, I wanted to let you know that three exciting games – “A Short Hike,” “Train Sim World 4,” and “Venba” – will be departing from Xbox Game Pass on July 31. Given the timing, subscribers like us still have plenty of time left to enjoy at least one of these titles before they’re gone. Critics seem particularly fond of “A Short Hike,” with an impressive aggregate score of 87 and a 100% positive reviewer recommendation rate on OpenCritic. This 2019 adventure game is currently one of the highest-rated titles available on Xbox Game Pass, making it a must-play for enthusiasts like us!

Given that Train Sim World 4 joined Xbox Game Pass in February 2024, Microsoft’s subscribers haven’t had much time to fully explore it yet.
Unlike games typically reduced before leaving Xbox Game Pass, these three upcoming removals haven’t seen any discounts yet. In the near future, Microsoft will unveil the initial list of Xbox Game Pass additions for August 2024.
