As a seasoned player of this fantastic game, I am always eager to dive into the latest updates and events that come my way. The upcoming Login Event with its Crimson Spider Gloves and Butterfly’s Emissary Crate I is just the icing on the cake! And let me tell you, August is shaping up to be a month filled with action-packed events like Wilderness Express and Secure on Sight.

Hey there fellow gamers! Just a heads-up that on August 1st, 2024, we’ll be rolling out an update for our multiplayer survival game, Once Human. Before the servers go down for maintenance, you can check out the patch notes to see all the tweaks and additions coming your way. This is our eighth update, but this one’s a whopper! So, make sure to brush up on the changes before we dive in together. Let’s survive…together!

Developed by NetEase, the game titled “Once Human” immerses players into a post-apocalyptic landscape teeming with otherworldly monsters and corrupted, mutated humans. Regular updates have been incorporated for this game, with more than seven patches and bug fixes rolled out since its release on July 9. Although an August patch is scheduled, players can anticipate another substantial update for “Once Human” in September as well.

Hey there fellow gamers! Heading into the wee hours of August 1st, our beloved game will be going offline for some scheduled maintenance. As midnight EST strikes, get ready for a four-hour blackout. Expect a whole lotta changes in the existing features and mechanics, along with some exciting new events to spice things up!

As someone who has spent countless hours immersed in virtual worlds, I can appreciate the intricacies and attention to detail that goes into updating a game like this. From my perspective, it appears that the latest update aims to streamline the user experience by optimizing titles and squashing numerous bugs. One of the most significant changes I noticed was in the synchronization of Once Human‘s Combat Deviations and the controls for withdrawing Deviations from a Securement Unit.

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’m excited about the upcoming gaming events in August. The log-in event beginning on August 1st is particularly intriguing as it offers the Crimson Spider Gloves cosmetic and Butterfly’s Emissary Crate 1. I remember the thrill of logging in every day for a specific item, and this brings back fond memories.

Struggling players who’ve encountered issues with their Territory functioning improperly, facing glitches, or curious about future Deviation updates are encouraged to check out the comprehensive patch notes. Unfortunately, those anticipating changes in co-op play within Once Human will need to be patient as adjustments are forthcoming.

Once Human August 1 Update Patch Notes

Optimizations

I. Memetic Optimizations

1. Added a new item drop: Memetic Specialization Memory Fragments

Once you employ a Memetic Specialized Memory Shard, you’ll acquire the associated Memetic specialization benefit.

– Up to three Memetic Specialization Memory Fragments can be used per season.

As a gamer, when I use the in-game artifact called ‘Controller’, there’s a bit of luck involved in whether I get my hands on a rare Memory Fragment or not.

At the close of this gaming season, all my Memetic Specialization Memory Shards will vanish into thin air, leaving no chance for me to store them in the Eternal Depot.

– Memetic Specialization Memory Fragments can be traded between players.

2. Adjusted some display elements on the Memetic Specialization screen

– Optimized the stacking of certain metal ingots in the Backpack.

– Optimized the display of Memetic specializations in the gear details pop-up.

– Production output of regular Ammunition can be increased by 50%.

II. Gameplay Optimizations

1. Enriched the Highway Pursuit game mode

– Added a new Highway Pursuit route to the Chalk Peak region.

– The event starting time is now fixed to 9:00 PM, server time.

– Rosetta trucks now automatically drop Sproutlets even if the player does not attack them.

– Increased the quantity of Sproutlet and reward drops.

– Optimized the item storage quantity and subtraction rules of the Cargo Scramble game mode.

2. Optimized the ease of checking certain display elements

Once you’ve launched the map, feel free to tap on the icons for Monolith, Securement Silo, Public Crisis Event, Cargo Conquest, and more to reveal their respective detail screens.

Introduced a feature for issuing combat invites in Public Emergency Missions. Now, you’re able to extend invitations to other players through the chat system.

In simpler terms, you no longer need to wait for a countdown timer before pressing ‘Ready’ when you enter a Monolith or Securement Silo alone.

III. Vehicle Optimizations

Enhanced the acceleration and top speed on smaller motorcycles significantly, while making minor improvements to the acceleration and top speed on off-road vehicles and coupes.

2. Resolved an issue that caused players to have to press a movement key briefly after getting into a vehicle before they could control it properly.

As a game enthusiast, I’ve just incorporated an exciting new feature that allows me to hold down the accelerator when my in-game vehicle gets stuck on rough terrain. This will automatically help the vehicle free itself, adding a touch of realism and challenge to my gaming experience!

Introduced an option to automatically adjust the car’s camera view. You now have the ability to turn this feature on or off during gameplay.

Streamlined the process for both repairing and modifying vehicles. To ensure proper modifications, heavily damaged vehicles will first undergo necessary repairs prior to any customization work.

IV. Planting Optimizations

1. I’ve incorporated a Continuous Planting feature into the Planter Box, which automatically re-sows the previously used seeds and fertilizer without any intervention required.

V. Combat Optimizations

1. As a gamer, I made sure that the bonus attack from vanquishing a foe with Doombringer now stacks effectively, improving my combat performance!

2. Fixed an issue where certain kinds of damage in PvP mode were not affected by the gear build.

Revised the criteria for selecting Bounce targets. Now, Black Water is exempt from Bounce attack selections.

4. Adjusted the displayed weapon accuracy values. The actual attributes have not been changed.

5. Added a weapon inspection function that can be accessed from the action wheel.

6. Added a hit counter for the KAM – Abyss Glance.

7. Optimized the field of view when using iron sights on some KAM weapons.

VI. Wilderness Optimizations

1. Construction is now forbidden in the vicinity of the Scarecrow at Rippleby Market.

Adjusted the game settings by introducing a Camera Height option. Players can now customize their character’s vertical placement on the screen for a better viewing experience.

3. Enhanced the navigation route for the Wanderer character, making it move smoothly throughout a specific area with improved efficiency.

VII. Interaction, Art, and SFX Optimizations

1. Optimized the appearance of Teleportation Towers.

2. Optimized the on-hit SFX for certain Deviants.

3. Unlocked some control functions and some settings.

4. Implemented a function for showing controls. Now, the player has the ability to see what keys perform which actions.

VIII. Trades

Incorporated Nisa’s Loot Box into the store run by NPC character Nisa, who resides in neutral Strongholds. Opening this box has a 30% chance of awarding a Legendary Mod. If no Legendary Mod is awarded, either Acid (200 units), Barreled Premium Fuel (20 units), or Stardust Source (67 units) will be obtained instead.

IX. Deviation Interaction Optimizations

Enhanced the controls for synchronizing Combat Deviations. Players can now press ‘G’ to engage with a Securement Unit, thereby linking their Combat Deviation to their Cradle.

2. Modified settings for pulling out anomalies. Upon unlocking a Safety Box, players can now press ‘U’ to retrieve the anomaly.

X. Character, Controls, and Camera Optimizations

1. Optimized the camera when interacting with the Bed furniture item.

2. Reduced the player’s recovery time after being grabbed and thrown by a Deviant.

Resolved a problem that resulted in characters’ arms clipping while wielding melee weapons, due to modifications made to their physical appearance.

4. When reloading a weapon equipped with a high-powered scope, the camera sensitivity will match that during regular scoping for smoother control.

XI. Task Narrative Optimizations

To help you easily access all buyable goods from merchants in neutral settlements, items previously only available at Claire’s store have been added to the Common Market. Furthermore, players can now use ‘W’ and ‘S’ keys to navigate through dialogue choices.

XII. Cosmetics Optimizations

1. Added more hair color presets.

2. We enhanced the outcome display for Rift Space, Securement Silo, and dungeon battles to spotlight exceptional performers. Introduced an outcome screen for The Prime War and Stronghold Conquest that celebrates top-tier players. Different visual effects will be shown depending on a player’s ranking.

XIII. Performance Optimizations

1. On PC, the resolution can now be changed when playing in full-screen mode.

XIV. Other Adjustments

Enhanced the Manibus experience specifically for Player versus Environment (PvE) servers. New server-wide challenges and incentives have been introduced as part of Phase V of the current season.

Bug Fixes

I. Territory Construction

1. Adjusted a problem in the Supplies Workbench’s specialized function, which was causing the real healing impact to deviate from the stated description.

I resolved a problem related to both the Electrical Expert and Tides specializations, which led to discrepancies between the real number of Generators that could be positioned and their given descriptions.

3. Resolved a problem that caused the listing of Memetic loggers, miners, and gatherers to appear incorrectly.

4. Fixed where the duration extension effect of Stardust Tea did not affect Hydration.

As an enthusiast, I resolved a problem that previously prevented fuel refinery facilities enhanced with Memetic specializations from processing Barreled Crude Oil.

11. Resolved a problem with the display that appeared when inserting Blueprints during Flight Mode in Eternaland. (Alternatively, I fixed a display glitch occurring while setting up Blueprints in Flight Mode within Eternaland.)

Resolved a problem occurring in the Blueprint construction, specifically regarding the failure to identify small grid patterns while swapping materials.

Resolved a problem where construction tasks lined up were mistakenly included in the crafting queue capacity limit.

II. Wilderness

1. Resolved a problem that caused the map’s navigation feature to either malfunction or fail to show the navigation path on occasion.

3. Resolved a problem leading to a switch error on the right side of the weapon selection interface during Calibration Blueprint replacement.

Resolved a problem in which certain discarded weapons occasionally had red-tinted Blueprint properties, making it impossible to break down those weapons to retrieve their Blueprints.

5. Fixed the inconsistent descriptions of The Weaver elixir and the Whim effect.

Resolved a problem: When ‘Hold to Sprint’ is activated and the player is already pressing the Sprint button to run, clicking on ‘Auto-Run’ fails to stop the character from running. In this case, clicking ‘Auto-Run’ should instead halt the character’s sprint.

V. Deviations

1. Resolved a problem that prevented abilities with specific targets, like Deviations’ skills, from being recalled when the player was reloading.

As a devoted fan, I recently resolved an issue that occurred when utilizing the Mini Wonder with my player character.
