GameStop Issues Warning to Pokemon TCG Scalpers

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s been well-known that the Pokemon Trading Card Game has been a major target for people looking to resell items at inflated prices, leading to empty shelves and high prices online. The cards have also attracted thieves hoping to steal rare and valuable cards. Even Tom Brady, the former NFL quarterback, was a victim, with nearly $10,000 worth of Pokemon and baseball cards stolen from his CardVault shop in New York City shortly after it opened. The New York Police Department was actively investigating the theft at the time this was written.
