One Piece: Strongest Characters Alive After Elbaf

The *One Piece* manga is now centered around the land of giants, Elbaf, and what’s happening in the present day. However, many fans are actually more interested in a flashback storyline detailing the God Valley Incident, which features a lot of well-known pirates.

Eventually, the story will leave the flashbacks and return to the current conflict on Elbaf, which has now become a warzone. With so many strong fighters in one location, it’s certain that some won’t survive.

Dracule Mihawk

Affiliation: Cross Guild

  • Devil Fruit: No

Dracule Mihawk is widely considered the greatest swordsman alive and is among the most powerful fighters in the series. He’s known for being calm and collected, rarely losing control of his emotions. He also possesses incredibly keen eyesight, allowing him to easily spot flaws in his opponents’ defenses.

I’m completely fascinated by Mihawk! What really makes him such a terrifying opponent, in my opinion, is his sword, Yoru. It’s one of the twelve Saijo O-Wazamono blades – the very best! Over the years, he’s become a master with it, able to use it in all sorts of incredible ways. Plus, he’s really skilled with both Armament and Observation Haki. When he combines his amazing swordsmanship with his Haki, it’s just devastating for anyone who dares to fight him!

Monkey D. Luffy

Affiliation: Straw Hat Pirates

  • Haki: Yes
  • Devil Fruit: No

Monkey D. Luffy leads the Straw Hat Pirates and is one of the Four Emperors. While he hasn’t battled the Holy Knights yet, it’s certain he’ll eventually get involved and aid Elbaf in its struggle for survival.

By the end of this story arc, Luffy will be significantly more powerful. He might even figure out how to defeat enemies with healing abilities, like the Holy Knights. Plus, he’s likely to get even better at controlling his Devil Fruit’s awakened powers. These improvements will be crucial as he faces even stronger opponents later in the Final Saga.

Sakazuki

Affiliation: Marines, World Government

Sakazuki is currently the highest-ranking officer in the Marines, known as the Fleet Admiral. He earned this position by defeating Kuzan in a fierce battle on Punk Hazard. Since becoming Fleet Admiral, Sakazuki has focused on improving the Marines’ defenses and overall strength.

Sakazuki is one of the strongest characters in battle. His power comes from the Magu Magu no Mi, a Devil Fruit that lets him create and control magma. This fruit is known for having incredibly destructive power, giving Sakazuki a significant advantage in a fight.

Blackbeard

Affiliation: Blackbeard Pirates

Blackbeard is the son of the famous pirate Davy D. Xebec. Like his father, he wants to rule the world, but he goes about it in a very different way. Blackbeard is clever and calculating, and he’ll do anything to get what he wants.

Blackbeard is incredibly powerful, thanks to his two rare and devastating Devil Fruits. One lets him cancel out the abilities of other Devil Fruit users, while the other allows him to create massive earthquakes. On top of that, he’s also skilled in Haki, giving him even more ways to defeat his enemies and potentially destroy an entire town in a matter of minutes.

Gorosei/The Five Elders

Affiliation: World Government

The Five Elders are Imu’s most trusted followers, having served them for a long time. As their name suggests, the group consists of five members, each representing a different noble family. They first showed their immense power during the Egghead arc, almost completely destroying everything and everyone on the island.

The Five Elders possess incredible power, including immortality and strong Devil Fruit abilities. Because of this, it’s no surprise that many believe they are as powerful as the Yonko.

Shanks

Affiliation: Red Hair Pirates

  • Haki: Yes
  • Devil Fruit: No

Shanks is widely considered one of the most powerful pirates currently sailing the seas in One Piece. Unlike many strong fighters, he doesn’t rely on a Devil Fruit power; instead, he’s a master of Haki, a special form of energy. In fact, Shanks is believed to have the strongest Haki in the world, a skill he developed through years of dedicated training and battle experience.

It’s clear Shanks is incredibly talented. Even as a teenager, he could perform Divine Departure, a powerful attack mastered by Roger. Given his ability to use such advanced techniques so young, it’s no surprise he became a master of Haki.

Imu

Affiliation: World Government

  • Devil Fruit: Yes

Imu is the hidden leader of the World Government, meaning they ultimately make all the organization’s decisions. This is a secret, and Imu has worked hard to keep it that way, as the rest of the world is unaware of their existence.

Because of this, fans didn’t know what Imu was capable of. But Imu’s recent appearance in Elbaf revealed a lot. We now know Imu can possess others, magically turn people into demons, and possesses incredibly powerful Haki. On top of that, Imu is immortal and can fully recover from any injury.
