As a seasoned survivor in the post-apocalyptic wasteland of 7 Days To Die, I have to admit, the new water gathering system took me by surprise at first. But once I figured out how to craft a Dew Collector and got my hands on a Water Filter, I can’t imagine going back!
Players who have been accustomed to older versions of the game “7 Days To Die” might observe a significant shift in how they acquire water. Unlike before, players can no longer hoard empty jars for their water requirements. At first glance, this change may appear unfavorable; however, securing large amounts of water has become simpler.
Players are required to construct Dew Collectors and position them openly for gathering water gradually. Although players must continue boiling the water over a campfire to sanitize it, they can enhance the purification phase with an additional tool: a Water Filtration System. This system will facilitate easier water purification in the game.
How To Get A Water Filter in 7 Days To Die
There are two main ways that players can get their hands on a Water Filter. The first is by purchasing it from the trader. It is a very expensive item, especially early on. You can expect to pay upwards of 7000 Dukes for a Water Filter. That said, there are ways to make it cheaper. You can invest in the perk Better Barter for a reduced price. There are also some consumables and armor pieces that reduce trader prices.
Another option to acquire a Water Filter is by successfully finishing a mission assigned by the trader. Although it’s not guaranteed that they’ll give you one, there’s a possibility they might offer it as a reward. However, if the trader doesn’t provide a Water Filter, you will still earn Dukes for completing missions, which you can save and use to buy a Water Filter later on.
Crafting A Dew Collector in 7 Days To Die
In contrast to earlier PC editions of 7 Days To Die, players no longer need a Water Filter to build a Dew Collector. Instead, you can enhance a Dew Collector with a Water Filter as a mod, allowing it to produce regular water rather than murky water.
