Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact DLC Wishlist

Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact DLC Wishlist

As a die-hard Hunter x Hunter fan with over two decades of obsession under my belt, I must say that the reveal of Nen x Impact’s launch roster has left me both thrilled and perplexed. On one hand, it’s fantastic to see the developers embracing the show’s creative fighters and pushing the boundaries of traditional fighting game design. On the other, there are some characters who, in my humble opinion, are as essential as a Gon-shaped hole in a pie!

The full lineup for the game “Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact” has been unveiled at last! Earlier, there were worries about the game’s roster size, but its diversity has mostly addressed these concerns. Nevertheless, there are still a few key characters absent. Surprisingly, some of the chosen characters are so conspicuous that it seems more probable than ever for additional characters to be added as DLC in “Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact”.

The lineup for ‘Nen x Impact’ is surpassing predictions, even though it’s still relatively small. Unlike what was initially suggested, the roster isn’t filled with characters typically found in fighting games. Instead, it showcases an assortment of unique fighters from ‘Hunter x Hunter’, which adds a refreshing twist. If additional content is released, it should continue to feature such diverse characters.

Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact’s Best Potential DLC Characters

Unique Hunter x Hunter Characters Who Would Be Perfect for Nen x Impact DLC

Ging Freecss is one of the most important and powerful characters in Hunter x Hunter, and his role as Gon’s deadbeat dad should make that clear enough. Likewise, Ging is a genius of Nen, and has shown himself to be capable of copying others’ abilities, and using them to an even greater extent than they could. Though he has only demonstrated this with Leorio’s ability so far, developers could use other members of the roster to give Ging a composite moveset that lets him fully stand out from the crowd he borrows from.

In the Storyline of the Succession Contest Arc, Prince Tserriednich is anticipated as the primary antagonist, boasting immense potential for inclusion as a playable character in Nen x Impact. Regrettably, the game’s roster often omits characters who haven’t appeared in the Hunter x Hunter anime yet. However, his significant role alone merits consideration, and his power to manipulate the future would make him a powerful opponent.

Alluka is Killua’s little sister and belongs to the Zoldyck family, which are professional assassins. Her special power, Nanika, gives her an extremely rare ability that would make her stand out distinctively in any game. However, this unusual talent makes it difficult for developers to incorporate her into the game, even as downloadable content. Notably, Alluka doesn’t engage in combat, but Leorio doesn’t seem to mind taking on such roles.

Major Hunter x Hunter Snubs Make Nen x Impact DLC Seem More Likely

In my gaming world, it felt like a no-brainer to include Illumi in the game mix, considering he’s part of both the Zoldyck family and the Phantom Troupe. His ability to control the Needle People could lead to some unique gameplay dynamics, but I can see potential clashes with other characters, like Morel or Razor, who also have special abilities.

Characters from the Chimera Ant Royal Guard, particularly Neferpitou, would have been a logical addition to the roster. Shaiapouf and Menthuthuyoupi are also strong candidates, with Menthuthuyoupi’s abilities hinted at in Meruem’s moveset. However, Pitou stands out among her peers due to her significant impact on the series. Her combat style aligns more seamlessly with a fast-paced game like Nen x Impact.

A character who appears to have been overlooked is Knuckle, a crucial member of the team tasked with eradicating Chimera Ants. His squad mates Shoot and Palm also offer significant contributions. The unique aspect of Palm being a heroic Chimera Ant adds intrigue. However, unlike the other brawlers on the team, Knuckle’s Nen ability that revolves around debt sets him apart.

Hunter x Hunter’s Launch Roster is in Great Shape

The letdown from some omissions isn’t as significant as the buzz generated by recent updates. Not only has the game improved visually since its initial unveiling, but the diverse character lineup revealed at the end has boosted confidence. In fact, the possibility of certain characters being included later on seems higher, rather than lower.

In the fiercely competitive shonen animation genre, the show “Hunter x Hunter” has consistently distinguished itself with its richly developed battles and characters. The upcoming anime titled “Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact” is already making waves among other new combatants in the field. To keep up this momentum, it would be strategic to unveil and launch downloadable content characters that fully capitalize on the series’ unique strengths.
