Recent discoveries suggest that Battlefield 6 might get six new ways to play soon. Data found within the game files has revealed the names of these upcoming modes. Battlefield 6 released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on October 10th, and already features several modes like Conquest, Breakthrough, and King of the Hill. However, it looks like the developers at DICE are already planning even more content for the game.
In addition to the traditional *Battlefield* game types, *Battlefield 6* brought back Portal, a fan-favorite mode where players can design their own maps and gameplay experiences with customized rules. While Portal has appeared in games like *Battlefield 2042* before, DICE has significantly enhanced it with new tools, reliable servers, and the soon-to-be-available option to start completely from scratch. These improvements give players more creative control than ever before.
New Battlefield 6 Game Modes Have Been Leaked
Battlefield 6 offers a variety of game modes for all playstyles. Players familiar with Call of Duty will appreciate the close-quarters combat modes like King of the Hill, Domination, and Team Deathmatch, while long-time Battlefield fans can continue enjoying larger-scale modes such as Conquest and Breakthrough. It looks like even more options are coming soon! A recent leak from Insider Gaming suggests six new modes are in development: Raid, Payload, Sabotage, Squad Shootout, Strikepoint, and Tank Hunt.

As a huge Battlefield fan, I’m so excited for Season 1 of Battlefield 6! We don’t know *everything* that’s coming yet, but EA and DICE have confirmed that Strikepoint and Sabotage will be part of it. The season is broken up into three updates, and the first one drops on October 28th! It’s bringing a new map called Blackwell Fields, the Strikepoint mode, plus three new weapons and more. Then, on November 18th, we’re getting another map and the Sabotage mode – it’s limited-time, which is cool – alongside a new attachment and three more weapons. Finally, on December 9th, they’re wrapping things up with a winter map, a limited-time event, and a brand new melee weapon. It’s shaping up to be an awesome season!

DICE is dedicated to delivering fresh content for fans soon, while also tackling major problems within the game. A recent update to *Battlefield 6* appears to have finally fixed a frustrating issue where bullets weren’t registering hits, meaning players weren’t seeing damage even when aiming correctly. DICE confirmed the fix was implemented through a backend update on October 15th.
