Dying Light: The Beast 11-Week Content Roadmap Revealed

Techland has shown that the ‘Dying Light: The Beast’ expansion is much more than a simple add-on, releasing an impressive 11-week plan filled with new content. While we expected continued support for the game, we now have a detailed look at exactly what Techland has in store for players.

Upcoming updates will include New Game+, ‘Legend Levels’, a Nightmare Difficulty setting, and nearly a dozen week-long challenges collectively known as ‘Call of The Beast’.

Dying Light: The Beast Doesn’t End with the Release

Okay, so Techland just announced that Dying Light: The Beast is getting a TON of new stuff! They’re rolling it out in updates, which is awesome. I’m really excited to see everything they add!

Players can enjoy New Game+, revisit familiar Legend Levels, and test their skills with Nightmare Difficulty – offering a greater challenge within the expansive Castor Woods.

Plus, the game now features a collaboration with PUBG Mobile – a surprising addition! PC players can also enjoy updated ray tracing, and there are new ways to finish off opponents with improved animations and visuals. Overall, the update includes several quality-of-life improvements as well.

We also revealed the ‘Call of the Beast’ community challenge schedule! Challenges will run for eleven weeks, starting today, October 16th, and continuing until January 7th. Each week will feature new challenges, and there will be special, rare rewards available during weeks four, eight, and after the final challenge is completed.

Techland said in a new release:

So, every week in the game, we’re all gonna have a new goal to work towards as a community. It’s all about teaming up, sticking with it, and showing how awesome the Dying Light player base is! The cool part is, when we hit those goals, we all get rewarded – stuff like new weapons and even skins for our cars just show up in our stash. Basically, to get the weekly goodies, we just need to pitch in and help reach the target!

Okay, so here’s the deal: if we all work together and finish at least 17 out of the 22 community goals, we’ll unlock a super awesome Legendary Reward at the end of the event. But get this – if we *really* pull through and hit 20 goals, *everyone* who jumped into at least one challenge will get all the rewards, no matter when they started playing Call of the Beast! It’s like, even if you just joined in late, you still get everything if we crush it as a community.

This adds even more value to a game that some people dismissed as too brief. I previously addressed that concern in my review, highlighting the game’s surprising depth and content.
