Until Dawn Movie Cast Grows, Peter Stormare Possibly Reprising Dr. Hill

As a seasoned gamer with decades of virtual escapades under my belt, I must say that the news about the Until Dawn movie adaptation has me genuinely excited! Having played the original game back in 2015 and fondly remembering Peter Stormare‘s chilling portrayal of Dr. Hill, hearing he’s reprising his role for the big screen is nothing short of thrilling.


As per a recent update from The Hollywood Reporter, the film adaptation of Until Dawn is bringing on new actors, among them being the reappearance of Peter Stormare.

Actor Stormare boasts more than 200 roles across film and television, including notable performances in films like Fargo. He’s also ventured into gaming, appearing as Arach Jalaal in the Destiny series. In 2015, he brought the iconic Dr. Hill to life in Supermassive Games’ original Until Dawn.

In their latest release, The Hollywood Reporter suggests that Alexander Skarsgård may return as character Dr. Hill, the therapist, in a callback to the game. Yet, it’s important to note that the studios have yet to formally announce the roles for the new cast members at this point.

Apart from Peter Stormare, it’s said that we can also expect the additions of Maia Mitchell and Belmont Cameli to the cast. Some viewers might remember Mitchell from The Fosters, while Cameli made an appearance in the latest version of Saved by the Bell.

The Hollywood Reporter previously revealed Until Dawn’s movie adaptation in January 2024.

David F. Sandberg, renowned for helming movies like Shazam, Lights Out, and Annabelle: Creation, has signed on to direct the upcoming project titled Until Dawn. Screen Gems and PlayStation Productions have collaborated for this screen adaptation.

Returning Stormare is sure to create excitement among fans, potentially paving the way for other original Until Dawn actors to make a comeback as well.

Regarding video games, it was announced this week that the eagerly awaited remake of Until Dawn, developed by Ballistic Moon, has received an ESRB rating. This revamped edition will be available on PC and PlayStation 5 in autumn 2024.
