Battlefield 6 Progression Issues and XP Leveling Will be Addressed Next Week

A new update for Battlefield 6 is coming out next week to improve how quickly players progress and earn experience.

Okay, so Battlefield 6 just dropped, and it’s HUGE. Honestly, it feels like it’s going head-to-head with Call of Duty in terms of hype and sales. I was blown away to hear it sold 7 million copies in just the first three days – that’s a new record for the series! It hasn’t been perfect though, I’ve run into a few little bugs with leveling up and making progress. Luckily, the devs are already on it and promising a fix in the next update, which is awesome to see.

Battlefield 6 Devs Acknowledge Progression Pace Issues

The team behind Battlefield 6 has responded to player feedback about slow progression. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), they explained they’re aware it’s taking too long to unlock items like gadgets and weapon upgrades, and they’re working on fixes to speed things up.

  • Match completely and daily bonuses, XP has been increased by 10% and 40% respectively.
  • The XP a players need to unlock the first 20 attachment ranks has been reduced, with useful attachments arriving twice as fast.
  • Players should note that the UI for weapons that are already being progressed might show something “abnormal at first”, but will be resolved once players use that weapon in a match.
  • The assignments that required career ranks 20, 23, and 26 to begin will now require career ranks 10, 15, and 20, respectively.
  • The developers are aware of the “frustrations regarding the challenges themselves and are actively working on reviewing them.” However, this change will take longer to develop, test, and implement.

Battlefield 6 is getting updates to make unlocking weapons and improving your skills feel more satisfying. These changes aim to keep the sense of accomplishment when you fully master a weapon. The update should be available within the next week, as soon as testing is complete. The developers are also working on issues like visibility, weapon accuracy, and vehicle spawns, and will share more information as soon as they can.
