  • The Switch’s massive install base is fueling constant third-party game releases, along with a steady stream of first-party Nintendo titles.
  • Exciting first-party Nintendo games include Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Super Mario Party Jamboree, and Mario & Luigi: Brothership.

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that October 2024 is shaping up to be a truly exciting month for Nintendo Switch owners! With a plethora of games ranging from remasters like Sonic X Shadow Generations and Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered, to first-party releases such as Super Mario Party Jamboree, there’s something for every taste.

The Nintendo Switch is set for an impressive run from September to November, with at least one significant exclusive game release scheduled every month. Nintendo has announced that the Switch has surpassed 143 million units sold, nearing the PlayStation 2’s record of 155 million. Although hardware sales are starting to decrease as fans eagerly await the arrival of the Switch’s successor console, Nintendo is working tirelessly to make the Switch the highest-selling video game console in history.

Nintendo aims to maintain its success by introducing exclusive Switch consoles, such as the upcoming Zelda-themed Switch in September, and continuously offering fresh games for the system. Given the massive user base of the Switch, it’s not surprising that developers are consistently launching games for this console. In addition to third-party releases, Nintendo has been actively creating a variety of original titles to enrich the Switch’s game library. A new Nintendo first-party game is released on the Switch almost every month, and there’s another wave of exciting first-party releases coming up in September.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m super excited about the lineup for my Nintendo Switch in September! There are plenty of third-party games dropping, but nothing compares to the highly anticipated “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom”. Moving on to October, I can hardly wait for the release of “Super Mario Party Jamboree”, the newest addition to their classic party game series. To wrap up 2024, Nintendo is saving a treat for us with “Mario & Luigi: Brothership”, an unexpected RPG that was announced at the latest Nintendo Direct presentation. I can hardly contain my excitement!

The Next 3 Months Are Going to Be Huge for the Nintendo Switch

In September, Nintendo Switch users have plenty to anticipate, including the arrival of games such as “Ace Attorney Investigations Collection,” a version of an Ace Attorney game that hasn’t been released in the West before. Additionally, fans can expect remastered versions of well-liked titles like “Epic Mickey: Rebrushed” and “Lollipop Chainsaw: RePOP.” Sports enthusiasts will be thrilled with new installments of two major sports series, namely “NBA 2K25” and “EA Sports FC 25.” However, many gamers are likely most excited for “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.” Overall, there’s a lot to look forward to on the Switch in September.

As a gamer eagerly counting down the days, I can’t help but get pumped about “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom,” set to drop on September 26. This is the latest addition to the iconic Zelda series, and it promises an art style reminiscent of the “Link’s Awakening” remake. What makes this game even more intriguing is that Princess Zelda steps into the limelight as the main playable character for the first time ever!

In October, a new Nintendo exclusive game titled “Super Mario Party Celebration” is set to release for the Switch console. This upcoming title is being hyped as the largest in the series with more than a hundred mini-games, fresh and reprised game boards, and the addition of online multiplayer functionality. The Mario Party games have remained consistently popular since their initial launch on the Nintendo 64 years ago, so it’s expected that “Super Mario Party Celebration” will continue this trend when it arrives in October.

2024’s November is shaping up to be a relatively quiet month for the Nintendo Switch, but it promises plenty of excitement. Gamers eagerly await the release of Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, which has been highly anticipated by fans since its unveiling. This long-awaited game will become available on November 14. Additionally, Nintendo Switch players can also look forward to the launch of their own version of Funko Fusion, scheduled for release on November 15.

The most significant Switch game launching in November is undeniably titled “Mario & Luigi: Brothership“. With the closure of AlphaDream, many fans had given up on the idea of another Mario & Luigi game, making the unveiling of Brothership during the latest Nintendo Direct all the more delightful. This upcoming title seems to maintain the unique RPG elements that made its predecessors so beloved among Nintendo enthusiasts, yet it introduces a cel-shaded art style and promises a broader scope than ever before. While Brothership faces high expectations, the glimpses we’ve seen thus far are extremely encouraging, and it stands to conclude an outstanding three-month period for Nintendo’s hybrid home console/handheld system.
