ARC Raiders: How to Recycle & Which Items to Sell First

In ARC Raiders, you’ll discover lots of items while exploring. You can break these down for crafting materials, or sell them for coins to buy things from traders. Deciding what to sell and what to recycle is key, and this guide will show you how to do both, plus help you prioritize which items are best to break down or sell first.

How to Sell and Recycle Items in ARC Raiders

While exploring, players can find materials for crafting inside buildings, in ruins, and from broken ARC robots. They can also break down certain items to get more crafting materials. Even items that can’t be recycled can be sold for coins through the inventory.

As a player, I’m really excited about how this feature saves time while I’m exploring the wasteland! It means everything I find – whether I use it for crafting or just sell it – feels worthwhile. To get started with recycling or selling in *ARC Raiders*, you just need to open your inventory. From any tab within it, you can access the options you need with a simple button press.

  • To access your inventory, press the “TAB” key in the Workshop menu on a keyboard.
  • The “Select or Back” button on an Xbox Controller
  • The “Touchpad Click” on PlayStation controllers.

Choose an item from your stash or what your character is carrying. Then, right-click with your mouse, or press the ‘Y’ button on Xbox or ‘Triangle’ on PlayStation to open a menu. Here, you can sell the item for coins or break it down into crafting materials.

The same can be done on the loadout screen right before starting a match in ARC Raiders.

Which Items to Sell or Recycle First in ARC Raiders

In ARC Raiders, you’ll collect a lot of items when you finish a match. This can quickly fill up your storage space. To avoid having to pay to increase your storage early in the game, you’ll need to make room by either recycling unwanted items or selling them.

Okay, so in ARC Raiders, you can pretty much sell or recycle almost everything you find, which can be a bit overwhelming at first. It’s hard to know what to get rid of and how! But there’s a system to help you figure out what should be sold versus recycled. Let me tell you how it works…

  • For items that should be recycled in ARC Raiders, you’ll see a “Recyclable” tag when you hover your cursor over them. Their descriptions will also only say: “This item can be recycled into XYZ (crafting component name).”
  • For items that should be sold in ARC Raiders, you’ll see a diamond symbol in their thumbnail image, and they should have a “Trinket” tag associated with them. Selling these will give you the most amount of coins, allowing you to purchase items from traders.

You might see some items described as recyclable for parts, but they’re often actually used to make specific gear, tools, or weapons. Before you sell or recycle anything, it’s a good idea to check your inventory carefully. That way, you won’t accidentally get rid of useful crafting materials.
