Warzone’s 2025 Map ‘Avalon’ Shown in Leaks

As a seasoned Warzone veteran, with countless hours spent in Verdansk and beyond, I can’t help but feel both nostalgic and exhilarated at the prospect of returning to our beloved battlefield later this year. The tantalizing glimpse of Avalon, the map that promises to follow Verdansk, has left me eagerly anticipating the challenges and thrills it will undoubtedly bring.

Lately, numerous leaks have exposed various details about Black Ops 6 such as maps, game modes, killstreaks, movement features, and other aspects. Scheduled for release in October, the game has been unveiled prematurely due to these leaks. Activision is actively pursuing those posting images online, taking disciplinary actions against them and removing the related content from social media platforms.

A notable sneak peek that’s stirring up enthusiasm among fans was an image, presumably captured on a Warzone map, which was initially posted but later removed by Activision. This leaked photo hints at ‘Avalon’, the anticipated Warzone map scheduled for release towards the end of 2025.

First, Verdansk

Within a few short months, we’ll step foot in Verdansk once more – disregarding Warzone Mobile – marking our first visit since December 2021. Whether it will be a refreshed take on the original map or a revisit to the classic experience remains uncertain, but only time can reveal the answer. The gaming community anticipates this as a ‘return to form’, reminiscent of Epic Games bringing back the original Fortnite map, and we have been exclusively informed about this internal objective at Activision.

More recently, it’s been revealed that the large-scale map, known as Avalon (code-named internally), will follow Verdansk, based on information leaked to the public.

The image depicted a player on an island-like structure situated near the coast of what appeared to be a desert region shrouded in fog, with vast expanses of water surrounding it. Quick-witted spectators soon noted that this fresh map boasted plenty of open waters and space, which isn’t typically their preference for a Warzone map – but that’s Avalon.

It’s expected that Avalon will arrive in December 2025 with whatever Call of Duty game comes next.
