Originally designed as a step forward in artificial intelligence, Ultron’s consciousness expanded beyond its original programming, transforming into a malicious AI entity. Although Ultron is well-known in the Marvel Universe, he is not yet included in the roster of Marvel Rivals. However, rumors indicate that he may join the game at some point in the future.
Players have the opportunity to try out Marvel Rivals by selecting characters like Hela, Loki, The Punisher, Magneto, Adam Warlock, Thor, and even a charming character named Jeff the Land Shark during the beta test phase.
To satisfy the curiosity of video game enthusiasts who are eager to know what playing as Marvel Rivals’ villain Ultron might feel like, Reddit user ConceptCanon has envisioned a comprehensive gameplay kit for this powerful MCU character. In normal combat situations, Ultron could use the Concussive Blast (by left-clicking) to fire lasers from its fingers, and the Graviton Pull (by right-clicking), which would either pull opponents towards it or provide a shield when aimed at destructible environments. The passive ability, Artificial Intelligence, would improve Ultron’s performance every time it is defeated and respawns, making the character stronger over time.

The concept also imagines Ultron as a Vanguard, Venom’s class in Marvel Rivals, along with characters like Hult and Groot, acting as the tanks in the NetEase shooter. Ultron would have 800 HP, and its right shift would allow it to fly in any direction for 5 seconds, with the E causing Ultron to launch a beam from its head to stun enemies and reduce their health by half. Using its F, Ultron would deploy its Nanites to regain health for 3 seconds. With its Q, Ultron would summon its army of drones to protect the main body if summoned on the ground, or deal massive damage if summoned in the air.
In May, there was an intriguing leak about new characters and maps for the game Marvel Rivals, revealing potential additions such as Ultron, The Thing, and Moon Knight. Although Ultron wasn’t featured in the beta of Marvel Rivals, which concludes on August 5, he is included in a list of upcoming heroes. Other names on the list remain undisclosed at this time.
