All Clans in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, you’ll take on the role of a powerful vampire called the Nomad. However, a series of mishaps will leave you significantly weakened. As with all vampires in this richly detailed and dark world, you’ll be able to choose which clan your Nomad belongs to.

In Bloodlines 2, each vampire clan has a unique look and feel, ranging from those who practice blood magic to shadowy figures and the classic vampires you might know from stories. The clan you choose at the beginning significantly changes your gameplay experience, so if you’re unsure which one suits you best, this guide can help.

Best Clan in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

  1. Tremere
  2. Brujah
  3. Toreador
  4. Ventrue
  5. Banu Haqim
  6. Lasombra

Ultimately, choosing a vampire clan in the game is a matter of what you enjoy most. You’ll be able to unlock all the skills for each clan as you play, so you’re not limited to a single playstyle. Plus, your initial clan choice won’t dramatically change the main story of Bloodlines 2.

Our ranking is based on how user-friendly each clan’s fighting style is. We ranked Tremere first because its emphasis on ranged attacks and blood magic simplifies most combat scenarios. Brujah came in a close second for similar reasons, though they rely more on brute strength than long-distance attacks.

Tremere

The Broken Clan

Tremere vampires are primarily known for blood magic, wielding the blood of both their foes and themselves as powerful weapons. They can transform blood into sharp blades or even turn enemies into explosive threats, swiftly dealing with immediate dangers. In VtMB2, the Tremere clan may not excel at movement or controlling groups, but they are unmatched when it comes to utterly destroying an opponent.

Blood of Potency (Clan Perk) When you feed, there’s a chance to regain double the amount of blood.

Brujah

The Learned Clan

The Brujah clan is famous for its passionate and rebellious members, who are often outsiders. Where the Tremere prefer subtle methods, the Brujah rely on brute force, quickly overpowering opponents with their strength and speed. In Bloodlines 2, this makes them ideal for players who enjoy direct combat. Learning Brujah brawling skills also unlocks unique abilities for your character.

Toreador

The Clan of Divas

The Toreador clan is known for its grace and captivating charm. They expertly use their appeal to influence people, either winning them over as short-term allies or luring them into danger. Though not as physically strong as some other clans like the Tremere and Brujah, Toreador vampires excel at manipulating others, giving them a unique advantage in conflicts by subtly controlling the actions of their opponents.

Ventrue

Clan of Kings

As a fan, I’ve always thought the Ventrue were super interesting. They’re basically the vampire equivalent of old money – born into power and privilege. And that really shows in how they play! They aren’t necessarily the best fighters, but they’re masters of manipulation. They’d rather get their enemies to tear each other apart or just completely overwhelm them with their authority than get their hands dirty. Seriously, they have the best ability in the game to control a chaotic situation – it’s awesome to watch!

Banu Haqim

The Clan of the Hunt

The Banu Haqim clan are vampires known for being skilled hunters, and they have a unique craving for the blood of other vampires. They are masters of stealth, taking down their victims with swift, precise attacks. These vampires are incredibly fast, appearing to move faster than the eye can follow, and can even turn completely invisible. Players who enjoy a stealth-focused gameplay experience will find this clan particularly appealing.

Lasombra

The Night Clan

Similar to the Banu Haqim, Lasombra vampires are stealthy hunters who excel at attacking from the darkness. They can control shadows to ensnare, separate, and frighten their victims. While they don’t rely on brute force, the Lasombra are incredibly skilled at taking down enemies individually.
