As a huge Battlefield fan, I was so excited to see the trailer for Season 1! It finally gave us a look at the new maps and game modes coming to Battlefield 6. It looks amazing, and we can jump in and start playing it all on October 28th – I’ve already marked my calendar!
Before it launched, details about what’s included in Battlefield 6 Season 1 were announced. The season will unfold in three parts. The first, Rogue Ops, became available on October 28th. California Resistance followed on November 18th, and Winter Offensive will complete the season on December 9th. A new trailer recently gave players a first glimpse of all the content coming in Season 1.
Explosive Battlefield 6 Trailer Reveals Season 1 Maps, Modes, and Weapons
The Season 1 trailer starts with a look at Blackwell Fields, the first new map for Battlefield 6 coming in the Rogue Ops update on October 28th. It appears this map will feature a lot of vehicle-based combat thanks to its wide-open spaces. We also get a preview of the Eastwood map, which will be available with the California Resistance update on November 18th. Eastwood looks like it will offer more close-quarters fighting in urban environments like streets and houses, though vehicles will still play a role.
The update introduces two new game modes for Battlefield 6 in Season 1. The first, Strikepoint, is a 4v4 mode where each player has only one life per round – a different experience than usual Battlefield 6 matches. It will be available on October 28. The second mode, Sabotage, is an 8v8 game launching with the California Resistance content, where teams compete to destroy equipment scattered throughout the map. Players will also have access to new weapons, including the SOR-300C Carbine, the Mini Fix Sniper Rifle, and the GGH-22 Sidearm.

Battlefield Studios isn’t just focused on adding new content; they’re also making lots of little improvements to the way Battlefield 6 plays. They recently fixed a problem where players were unfairly gaining experience points using bots, and they’re planning more changes to make the game’s progression system more satisfying. You can expect these kinds of small adjustments to continue even after Season 1 launches on October 28th.
