Nintendo fans are getting excited about two newly discovered, unreleased ads that have appeared online. These short, fifteen-second clips show fresh gameplay footage from Metroid Prime 4, including a brief glimpse of a brand-new boss character called Carvex.
We don’t know exactly when the ads will be released, but even though they weren’t publicly available yet, Nintendo fans have already found and watched them tens of thousands of times.
Metroid Prime 4 is Coming Soon, But Gameplay Came Sooner
Okay, so Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is officially coming out on December 4th, which is awesome! But things got a little crazy – gameplay footage started popping up everywhere. Apparently, Nintendo had a couple of short, unlisted ads on YouTube, and fans were practically camping out, waiting for them to go live. Now everyone’s digging into those fifteen-second clips, trying to soak up every little detail!
The first advertisement features an intense boss fight against a new character named Carvex. The player is shown battling in a classic environment, using the Switch 2 while it’s connected to a TV and a standard controller.
The second ad, lasting fifteen seconds, featured the player using the Joy-Con controller like a mouse to improve aiming accuracy, according to the advertisement.
People had a mixed reaction to the Metroid Prime 4 ads. Some felt the graphics and gameplay looked like they belonged on the Gamecube, while others praised the ads for reminding them of earlier, beloved titles.
While it’s not much information, and the official ads are likely coming soon, this is still a fun little update for Nintendo fans. The first glimpses of the trailers appeared on the Famiboards forum, posted by a user named ‘BackwardsCompat’.
