Monster Hunter Wilds New Update 1.030.030 Applies Quest Balance Adjustments, Bug Fixes

Capcom released an update for Monster Hunter Wilds on October 23rd for both console and PC players. Update 1.030.030 includes bug fixes and adjustments to game balance, along with other improvements.

Okay, so Capcom just dropped a small update – version 1.030.02.00 – but honestly, it makes a pretty big difference. It mostly fixes how often you run into those super tough 9-star monsters in a couple of quests, and that’s a huge deal for anyone grinding those out. It really improves the whole experience, even though it’s a small patch.

For the complete patch notes, head on below.

Monster Hunter Wilds New Update on October 23 Brings Balance Changes

Bug Fixes and Balance Adjustments

We fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when showing specific Palico gear if Ambient Occlusion was turned off in the Graphics settings.

As a player, I’m really excited to see they’ve boosted how often we get quests asking for two 9-star monsters! They’ve made sure the chance of finding these quests overall is at least as good as it was in the last version, and maybe even a little better. They do mention it might vary a tiny bit depending on whether the quests involve monster packs, but that’s okay with me!

We’ve lowered how often you see groups of monsters in quests. This makes it more common to encounter quests with two powerful 9-star monsters as the main targets.

We’ve resolved a bug that was stopping certain quests involving Lagiacrus and Uth Duna from showing up correctly during the Season of Plenty in the Scarlet Forest.

We’ve corrected a problem where some parts of the 9-Star Arch-tempered Uth Duna were unusually resistant to damage. These parts now have the expected toughness values.

We fixed a bug that allowed the Omega Planetes boss to regain health after you defeated the Nerscylla Clone during its battle.

We fixed a problem where the Rocket Punch attack from Omega Planetes couldn’t be stopped by firing the gunlance.

We fixed a bug that stopped the Nerscylla Clone from appearing when Omega Planetes used its Delta Attack. This prevented players from being able to damage Omega Planetes, and it’s now resolved.

– Fixed an issue where the moon’s phases were displayed in reverse.

– Adjusted the visual effects displayed when activating the skill Omega Resonance.

– Fixed other miscellaneous issues.

I’m hoping Capcom gets around to fixing other technical problems soon too. And if you haven’t jumped in recently, the Final Fantasy XIV event content dropped about three weeks ago, and it’s a really fun way to shake things up in Monster Hunter!
