Diablo 4 bug that saves hours of grinding has been left permanent in Season 5

As a long-time Diablo enthusiast with countless hours spent honing my skills and perfecting my characters, I must admit, I was initially taken aback by the unexpected twist of Temper Manuals carrying over from Season 4 to Season 5. It wasn’t part of the plan, but as Adam Fletcher so eloquently put it, “sometimes life gives you lemons, and sometimes it gives you a bug that turns into a feature.”

In Diablo 4’s development, it has been disclosed that the Temper Manuals will continue from Season 4, despite them not being included in the script for Season 5.

In each new season, we’re tasked with designing a fresh character from scratch. This means that items or progress don’t typically transfer between seasons. However, there’s been a glitch in Season 5 that allowed Temper Manuals to persist from the previous season. Remarkably, Blizzard has chosen to maintain this anomaly.

Adam Fletcher, Blizzard’s Global Community Development Director, stated that they have noticed the news about the returning seasonal characters retaining their tempering methods from their previous season’s version.

“Fletcher mentioned that while this current development doesn’t align with the original plan or vision, it will be allowed for Season 5 as an exception. However, he doesn’t anticipate seeing such changes in future seasons.”

It appears that some of the new seasonal characters are inheriting their tempering methods from their previous season’s versions, which wasn’t initially planned. However, this won’t likely be the norm for upcoming seasons, but for now, we’re making an exception to this rule…

As a passionate fan, I didn’t anticipate this in Season 5, but it seems the developers creatively transformed an unintended bug into a captivating new feature. For the future seasons, it won’t follow this pattern, but for now, they’re graciously allowing this exception.

Players expressed concerns that the ongoing objective for the season might be discontinued after this point, but Fletcher reassured them, saying, “There are still untouched Tempering recipes waiting to be discovered in Season of the Infernal Hordes.” Many were delighted by this news and requested that this particular feature be made permanent.

Moving over the Temper Manuals this time around is undoubtedly a great advantage for players, as they had to work tirelessly to obtain them during the previous season. It’s quite possible that many were disheartened prior to the launch, fearing their painstakingly earned recipes would be rendered useless in the new season. However, it seems a lucky glitch has spared them countless hours of repetitive grinding.

During carryover of Temper recipes, players are given extra time to engage in an array of fresh experiences like the Hellbreach Dungeons, despite the brevity of the season.
