As a lifelong Monster Hunter fanatic who’s been tracking this series since its humble beginnings on the Nintendo Wii, I couldn’t be more thrilled about Capcom’s Gamescom 2024 lineup! The prospect of getting my hands on Monster Hunter Wilds at one of those 60 demo stations is making my hunter’s heart race.
I’m thrilled to share that Capcom has unveiled its complete Gamescom 2024 lineup! As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but feel my heart race at the prospect of seeing Monster Hunter Wilds taking center stage on their exhibition floor. The anticipation is palpable!
The 2024 Gamescom, taking place from August 21 to 25, will be held once again at its usual location in Cologne, Germany – the Koelnmesse venue. Over a thousand exhibitors, around 1,150 to be exact, have already confirmed their participation for this upcoming convention. Capcom has been listed as one of the exhibitors on the official website since as early as spring 2024. But until today, August 7, no specifics about Capcom’s involvement in Gamescom have been revealed yet.
Capcom Bringing Monster Hunter Wilds Demo to Gamescom 2024
Capcom has revealed the lineup for their Gamescom 2024 event, featuring a total of five games. The main attraction will be the long-awaited game, “Monster Hunter Wilds,” which will make its debut with a first-ever demo presentation. In fact, Capcom intends to set up approximately 60 demo stations for attendees to play, occupying an area of over 900 square meters (or about 2,952 square feet).
Key figures from the Monster Hunter series development team, including Ryozo Tsujimoto (producer), Yuya Tokuda (director), and Kaname Fujioka (executive director and art director), will be present at the showroom floor. These esteemed officials from Capcom have pledged to disclose additional details about the game during their Gamescom 2024 presentation. Monster Hunter Wilds, slated for a 2025 release, is one of their upcoming projects.
At Gamescom 2024, Capcom is using the event as a platform to reveal a sneak peek of Terry Bogard from Street Fighter 6 ahead of his official release in fall 2024. This will be a first for the Street Fighter series, as Terry Bogard marks its debut as the franchise’s first-ever guest character. Additionally, attendees can test out the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection demo at Capcom’s booth during Gamescom 2024. The collection, which includes Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth and AA Investigations 2: Prosecutor’s Gambit, will be available for purchase starting September 6.

Gamescom 2024 visitors can play the new game “Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess,” while Capcom will showcase “Monster Hunter Now” at their booth, which is celebrating its first anniversary and offers a sneak peek at future updates. The booths will be located at stands A050 in hall 4.2 and stands A070 and C079 in hall 9.1.
