As a longtime Pokemon enthusiast and connoisseur of fan art, I must say that Matratzfratz has truly outdone themselves with their Mega Electrode design inspired by the Master Ball. Their ability to blend the essence of the iconic Poke Ball with the spirited personality of Electrode is nothing short of impressive. It’s as if they took my childhood memories, rolled them into a ball, and added a dash of creative genius.

A devoted Pokemon enthusiast and artist envisioned a fresh Mega Evolution for the electric critter known as Electrode. They based the enhancement around the incredibly potent Master Ball, and depicted this imaginative transformation on social media. The fan artist also shared some intriguing insights about their concept of the powerful sphere-like Electrode.

As a longtime fan, I’ve always been captivated by the little ball of electricity known as Electrode, often referred to as the Bomb Ball. This Electric-type Pokémon made its debut in Pokémon Red and Blue. One of the first Electric-types, Electrode evolves from Voltorb at level 30. However, in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Voltorb and Electrode have Hisuian regional variants, and a Leaf Stone is needed for evolution instead of reaching a certain level. With a design reminiscent of an upside-down Poké Ball, Electrode can blend seamlessly into its surroundings, evading both foes and unsuspecting Pokémon trainers alike. Not only does this spherical Pokémon move swiftly, but it also has a fiery temperament, capable of Self-Destructing at will and causing significant damage to anything in its path.

Despite Electrode being famously known for its basic Electric Pokemon design, a talented trainer has enhanced its appearance with their craftsmanship. A Reddit user named Matratzfratz shared their artwork of Mega Electrode on the r/pokemon subreddit. In this new creation, Matratzfratz transformed the Sphere Pokemon into a Mega form resembling the legendary Master Ball. This unique Master Ball is a rare Poke Ball capable of capturing anything effortlessly. Consequently, the Mega Electrode now possesses both Electric and Steel types to enhance its power, and its color scheme was altered to match the Master Ball’s purple and gray hues. The eyes of Mega Electrode were changed to white with dark pupils, while its eyebrows and lower half were adorned in metal. Two heads resembling the red bumps on the Master Ball now appear on each side of Mega Electrode’s upper body. However, no details about the Mega Electrode’s statistics, moves, or abilities have been provided.

In my gaming world, I’m known for transforming Agumon into a Pokemon. Recently, I revealed that the red sections of Mega Electrode were inspired by two things – the Master Ball and the Common Surinam toad. This aquatic frog is fascinating because it carries its offspring on its back from skin holes, which actually served as the basis for Seismitoad’s design in Pokemon Black and White.

Fans of Pokemon praised Matratzfratz for their inventive design, likening the Mega Electrode to a Master Ball. As Mega Evolutions have been verified in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, it remains to be seen whether Electrode will receive an authentic Mega transformation.
