Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Gets New Trailer, Characters

Okay, so Nintendo just dropped a new trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment and it looks crazy! The combat is super intense, and they showed off two new characters – get this, one of them is a talking Korok! Seriously, a talking Korok is joining the fight. I can’t wait to play as him!

For over a decade, the Hyrule Warriors games have successfully blended the beloved world of The Legend of Zelda with the fast-paced action of the Dynasty Warriors series. The previous game, Age of Calamity, retold the story of Breath of the Wild’s events leading up to the Great Calamity, focusing on the Guardians. Now, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, releasing November 6th, 2025, explores the origins of those Guardians – the ones seen in flashbacks during Tears of the Kingdom. A new trailer showcases the game’s story, its signature Musou combat, and introduces some new characters.

New Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Trailer Reveals Playable Korok, Zonai Warrior

The new trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment gives us a first look at the game’s story and action. It shows the ancient Guardians fighting against Ganon’s army, led by King Rauru. Just like the player, Zelda finds herself in this era after being attacked by Ganon at the start of Tears of the Kingdom and will be discovering things as the story unfolds. Joining the fight are new characters like Calamo, a talking Korok who travels around, and the Mysterious Construct, a Zonai who can change forms.

Set during the conflict between Rauru and Ganon, the game introduces new characters not featured in Tears of the Kingdom. With plenty of potential for a compelling story, fans are in for something special. The development team, Koei Tecmo, has been delivering quality games lately with titles like Dynasty Warriors: Origins and Ninja Gaiden 4. Considering how well-received Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was, Age of Imprisonment appears to be equally, if not more, impressive.
