Halo: Campaign Evolved is Releasing on PlayStation 5

PlayStation is finally getting a Halo game, Halo Studios confirms.

For nearly twenty years, Xbox and PlayStation have been rivals, constantly competing to sell more consoles and games. While PlayStation had a lot going for it, Microsoft always had Halo – a hugely popular first-person shooter series that remained incredibly strong even when it wasn’t at its best. PlayStation is Getting Halo Combat Evolved Remake in 2026

Halo Studios announced at the Halo World Championships that the remake of Halo: Combat Evolved will be available on PlayStation 5, in addition to Xbox and PC. The announcement came at the end of a new trailer showcasing gameplay from the remake. While the game is scheduled for release in 2026, a specific date hasn’t been announced yet. Despite this news, the company didn’t confirm if future Halo games will also be available on platforms other than Xbox, meaning they may remain exclusive to Xbox Series X|S.

Even though Halo and PlayStation are rivals, bringing Halo to more consoles is a positive step. Releasing Halo: Combat Evolved on PlayStation will let a whole new audience experience the game that so many of us loved when it first came out.
