As a seasoned gamer who’s been through countless iterations of the Persona series, I must say that the addition of Metis to Persona 3 Reload is a breath of fresh air! Having Lizzie Freeman as the voice of Metis in the upcoming Episode Aigis: The Answer DLC is an exciting development.
In the upcoming Episode Aigis: The Answer DLC for Persona 3 Reload, it’s been confirmed that Lizzie Freeman will voice Metis, one of the main characters – a change from the original English dub in the base game, Persona 3. Notably, most characters in this new version of Persona 3 Reload have new voices, with only a few exceptions compared to the original Persona 3. This also applies to the upcoming playable epilogue DLC.
As a devoted fan, I’m eagerly anticipating Episode Aigis: The Answer, part of the Expansion Pass for Persona 3 Reload, which dropped in 2024 as post-release content. This captivating epilogue follows the storyline of Persona 3 and introduces us to a new Anti-Shadow Weapon character named Metis, who crosses paths with Aigis. With the DLC set for release in September, Atlus has just unveiled an enticing trailer featuring Metis, showcasing her incredible abilities and finally revealing her voice actress!
In summary, the trailer for “Persona 3 Reload” explains that Metis, who shares the same type of Anti-Shadow Weapon as Aigis, is portrayed as her “sister.” Lizzie Freeman will voice Metis in the English dub, taking over from Stephanie Sheh. For the Japanese version, Chiwa Saito reprises her role as Metis, having voiced her in the original game. This marks Saito’s return to the character after 17 years, with Metis being a less prominent figure in “Persona 3.”

Stephanie Sheh, the initial voice actor for Metis, is recognized for her roles such as Orihime Inoue from Bleach, Kyrie from Devil May Cry, and Hinata Hyuga from Naruto. On the other hand, Lizzie Freeman, the new voice actor for Metis in Persona 3 Reload, is also a renowned talent, having voiced characters like Trish Una from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Teucer and Yanfei from Genshin Impact, and Pomni from The Amazing Digital Circus. Fans are thrilled to see Freeman’s portrayal of Metis in Persona 3 Reload.
The trailer also briefly goes over some of the new social interactions with Metis in The Answer DLC, such as drinking coffee with Aigis and Ken, along with her combat abilities. In the original Persona 3 FES, Metis essentially replaces Aigis’ role, due to the latter being able to use multiple Personas and losing access to her old abilities. Metis is a well-balanced Persona user who has no weaknesses, focuses on physical attacks, and has some specialization in ice and wind skills. A lot of her abilities from FES have been retained for Reload, with Metis inheriting Aigis’ Orgia Mode Theurgy. The Answer DLC will be released on September 10, 2024.
