Following criticism from players, the developers of Battlefield 6, DICE, have updated the “System Override” skin, which was originally offered through a partnership with Razer. This change is included in the recently released Season 1 update for Battlefield 6, which also features gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and new content like the “Battlefield REDSEC” Battle Royale mode.
Following criticism of overly flashy cosmetics and frequent partnerships in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the developers of Battlefield 6 (DICE) have promised to maintain the series’ realistic and intense atmosphere. While Battlefield‘s cosmetic items haven’t been as extreme as collaborations like Beavis & Butt-Head or American Dad in Call of Duty, some brighter colors have worried fans, who are now asking others to voice their concerns before the game potentially moves toward more outlandish designs.
Battlefield 6 Season 1 Update Changes Razer Promotional Skin
A cosmetic skin in Battlefield 6 called System Override, released as part of a partnership with Razer, quickly became controversial. Players nicknamed it the “Monster Energy skin” because of its bright neon-green color, and many asked for future skins to be more subtle. Now, it appears DICE has listened to the feedback and adjusted the skin’s colors. As shared on Twitter by BattlefieldNET, the green is now much darker and less visually striking.
It’s still unclear whether the developers will change another divisive skin for Battlefield 6. Last week, the “Wicked Grin” skin for the Assault class received a lot of criticism for its bright blue coloring, with many players calling it unnecessary. While some defended the skin, saying it wasn’t as outlandish as some cosmetics released for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, others worried that allowing such unrealistic designs could lead to even more over-the-top skins in the future if players don’t voice their concerns.
Hey everyone, the System Override changes just dropped in the game! It’s part of the big Season 1 update for Battlefield 6, and honestly, there’s a ton of new stuff. Today’s update added a completely new map, loads of weapons, and other cool additions. We’ll get another update on November 18th, and the final one for this season is coming on December 9th. But wait, there’s more! EA also surprised us with Battlefield REDSEC, a new free-to-play Battle Royale game that you can jump into right now!
