Based on reports from Cardano Feed on X, approximately 72% of network participants, or stake pool operators (SPOs), have indicated they are prepared for the upcoming Chang hard fork update.

Participants have demonstrated their preparedness by setting up the new Cardano Node 9.1.0 software, which is essential for the Chang hard fork. This significant step represents an important milestone in the eagerly awaited update process.

According to monitoring sources, it appears that Bitfinex, the digital currency exchange, is well-equipped to carry out the update.

Significant change ahead: This update aims to shift the burden of managing the Cardano blockchain from IOHK, the development company, to ADA holders. Now, these holders have the opportunity to actively participate in the network’s expansion.

In essence, the Chang hard fork update signifies the arrival of the Voltaire Era, characterized by enhanced decentralized management within Cardano. Many of its competitors have embarked on similar paths, making this transition crucial to the functioning of the protocol.

Chang hard fork upgrade in few weeks

The specific time for when the upgrade will arrive needs to be clearer, though there’s a possibility it might come before the end of August. Initially, only 69% of SPOs had installed Cardano Node 9.1.0 on Thursday, but this figure rose to 72% within two days. Given the current growth rate, it seems probable that all SPOs will have updated their systems in about three weeks’ time.

Excitement about the upcoming Cardano-Chang hard fork upgrade has led to an uptick in ADA‘s price. In the last day, its market value has risen by 0.90%. At the moment, ADA is being exchanged at $0.3477, as per CoinMarketCap statistics.
