As a dedicated fan with over a decade of Call of Duty Zombies under my belt, I am beyond excited for the reveal of Liberty Falls at the Call of Duty NEXT event on August 28! The Terminus Island map has been a blast to play, but I’m eager to see what the West Virginia small town setting brings to the table.
On August 28th, enthusiasts of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s Zombies mode have something significant to look forward to – this is when the Call of Duty NEXT event takes place, unveiling the Liberty Falls map. The much-anticipated game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, will be released on October 25th, featuring two Zombies maps initially. One of these maps, Terminus Island, has already received a comprehensive walkthrough by Activision, offering intriguing insights into the map and its features.
In the game Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the Terminus Island map in its Zombies mode is set on a prison island reminiscent of Mob of the Dead. Here, players assume the identities of prisoners and a smuggler who are attempting to flee from the island during a zombie infestation. The main action in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies has revolved around Terminus Island thus far, but another map is also scheduled for release soon.
At the Call of Duty NEXT event on August 28, fans will finally get a detailed look at Liberty Falls, a new map that connects to Terminus Island in their small-town West Virginia setting. While brief glimpses of Liberty Falls have been shown in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the upcoming Call of Duty NEXT event promises to reveal more about this exciting expansion. The Call of Duty NEXT event is an annual gathering where Activision shares information on the next installment of the Call of Duty series, as well as related spin-offs and side projects. Fans are eagerly anticipating a comprehensive overview of Liberty Falls and how it sets itself apart from Terminus Island.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Liberty Falls Zombies Map Reveal Coming on August 28

As a gamer, I can’t help but notice that there might be some significant variations between Terminus Island and Liberty Falls in our upcoming game. For starters, previous Call of Duty Zombies maps often introduced unique playable characters based on the specific map, so it could very well be that Liberty Falls boasts a distinct roster compared to Terminus Island – but this is all just speculation at this point.
Part of the Terminus Island deep dive included the reveal of eight Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies perks, which mostly consists of returning perks along with the brand-new Melee Macchiato. The language used by Activision suggested that the perks it outlined were specific to Terminus Island, but again, we won’t know for sure until Liberty Falls is properly unveiled on August 28.
